Maybe they'll FINALLY begin offering HD-AAC lossless (or whatever else) as a premium on their store? If that's the case i could begin buying from iTunes :D

I would love that, but I don't think that would be something they tease to the mainstream.

They did release a update for iTunes (10.1) two days after 10.6.5 update. I wonder if it is based just inside the iTunes Store? I wonder. It must have enabled something for Apple to make this announcement.

Its the Beatles

Come on guys, tomorrow is iTunes 'New Music Tuesday' - its the Beatles, I 10000000% guarantee it.

Anything else would not be in the form of a teaser on the website followed by what is obviously going to be a 'press release'

Apple is not going to launch a major change to the way they sell music through the store this way - that would be a major event....Steve on stage...and you get all this for.....$9.99 per month !

Perhaps the reason I'm not so pessimistic is that I'm using Spotify and it lets me do pretty much everything I've been talking about (although I don't own the music).

If that suits your needs, then you might be in good shape.

Spotify holds no attraction for me, because I prefer to own my music, rather than rent it on a monthly basis or suffer through unwanted commercials in order to listen for free. (I don't listen to much terrestrial radio either, for the same reasons.)

I didn't say you had to rent your music, I'm merely illustrating that the technical constraints you describe really aren't a problem these days.

Hey - it's interesting how in the Italian Apple website the sentence gives out a slightly different meaning. Translated reads:

"Tomorrow will be a day like any other.
Or maybe not.

Come back here tomorrow, you'll find a special news ABOUT iTunes".

It specifically says "about" iTunes, not "from" iTunes.

Gone with the Wind

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

I swear 'tomorrow is another day' is a line from a Beatles song. Might be wrong though.

Nope, it's from Gone with the Wind (the movie). Last lines in the film spoken by Scarlett.:)

"You live with straights who tell you you was king,
Jump when your mamma tell you any thing,
The only thing you did was yesterday,
And since your gone you`re just another day,
How do you sleep?
Ah how do you sleep at night?"

by John Lennon

I think it's gonna be about music streaming (didn't they buy a company quite recently?) and possibly something to do with iTun.es. Possibly some social networking as suggested.

Possibly iOS4.2 but I'm not sure why that would be posted on iTunes. At least Apple seem to have found back to good one liners that make you wanna wait what they might pull up their sleeve :)

iSpecs - In time for the holidays, Apple will be releasing 3D content on iTunes, and you won't need a 3D TV to take advantage of it! Today, we're pleased to announce iSpecs. iSpecs will show you any 3D content as it was meant to be seen, wirelessly. Speakers embedded in the strap will transfer sound through your skull, providing you with the ultimate in surround sound experience. Non 3D content will be displayed through your iSpecs in a way that simulates watching it in a theater.

iSpecs will connect with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad through Bluetooth, and will do more than just 3D. Since the iPhone 3GS was released, App Store developers have made great strides in the field of Augmented Reality. Two weeks ago, we invited the developers of Layar Reality Browser to come in and take a look at the iSpecs, and the ideas they've enacted are remarkable. Here they are now to tell you about what they've come up with.

-Layar Devs give presentation, Steve comes back on stage, expresses his awe and admiration for the amazing things Layar has done in just two weeks!-

Well everyone, that's it for today... Oh! One more thing.

Here's another reason why it ISN'T The Beatles. Paul McCartney released the remastered Band on the Run a couple weeks ago. For those that were interested in digital tracks, the are for sale on his website at significantly better than CD quality (and immeasurably better than "iTune Plus" quality.)

So, why sell them through Apple (when most people that are interested already have them) and share the revenue when you can sell tracks on your own site and get all the cash, in a format that might inspire some repeat sales?

It's Beatles for My Money

It has got to be acquiring rights to the Beatles catalog

1. Steve jobs is not only a super entrepreneur, from what I have read, he is a serious and eclectic music fan as well; the Beatles library is a challenge any real fan would take on if he could

2. Steve Jobs has the ambition, the money, and the power to pull this off.

3. He is competitive enough to go for it if he personally wants to

4. Others have pointed out the use of words from Beatles' song titles.

It adds up -- but we could all be totally wrong.

Can't wait until 3:00 PM London time

On the iTunes page of the Apple UK site it shows this picture (note no cable in view...?)
sync20100901.jpg

And also says:
"Improved syncing. Feed your devices, faster.
A simpler way to sync.
iTunes gives you even better ways to sync your media from your computer to your iPhone, iPad or iPod."

But isn't exactly clear on what these "better ways" are, maybe it's something that will only come to light with iOS4.2...

Improved syncing. Feed your devices, faster.

A simpler way to sync.
iTunes gives you even better ways to sync your media from your computer to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. There’s a new capacity bar that tells you exactly how much space you have left on your device in real time. And it’s even easier to organize all your apps on all your devices because you do it right in iTunes. Shop the App Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Then connect to your Mac or PC and go to your iTunes library to arrange (and rearrange) your apps and add or delete Home screens that sync back to your devices automatically.
