I too think these will be US/Canada centric only offers too.

Third party retailers here in the U.K. might offer discounts on some Apple products but can't imagine massive savings will be found.

Dell must be trying to get rid of some of their inventory though... noticed an advert for one of their Core i3 Inspiron laptops for £199-down from £379.

Edit: is showing on the UK store too. View attachment 674027

That's good news, they did nothing for the UK in 2015.

But I do hope it helps the customer. In 2014, they had a Black Friday deal, but they gave the benefit of the deal to charity. 10-15% of the price of whatever we bought was donated by Apple to charity. That was nice PR for Apple, but a crappy deal for UK customers.

Hopefully they do something spectacular to take back their disappointed fan base. They wont be able to do anything with the MBP though as that would probably piss the early adopters off and most could probably still return it anyway.

Yeah. But I wish they would.

Seems like it is lots of countries. Australia included.

Which makes me think it is not going to be huge.

Discounted watch bands?

No mention of it on my Apple home page (I live in Singapore).

I am thinking minor discounts on assorted items. Nothing much, but better than nothing, I guess.

Also available in Spain!

Does anyone know if this "discounts" or gift cards will be compatible with Student discounts?

I mean, if it would be possible to take advantage of both when buying

You all ready for your $10 off this Black Friday?
[doublepost=1479812996][/doublepost]
Good question. That would be unfortunate if others not in the States can't participate in the sale. Hopefully you can.

I think it will be available in the UK too. But I wouldn't hold your breath unless you are in the market for an every so slightly cheaper Watch band.

Apple are notoriously rubbish at giving away anything at a discounted price.

"This Black Friday only, touch disease repairs for 50% off. $70 per phone."

Fine Print: Limit one per customer. Apple reserves the right to have you check in with 3 different geniuses before you are seen, and make you wait in shame with the senior citizens getting lessons on how to check their email. If one of these senior citizens attempts to make eye contact with you, do NOT return eye contact. Apple repeats: do not make eye contact. If eye contact is made, immediately re-check in with the first genius, and repeat your wait."

MacRumor article would be nothing nowadays without the obligatory LAME dongle comments. I personally find it Incredibly stupid!!

Someday there'll be a humor dongle.
Stay tuned.

A sure sign they have stock they need to move.
Even when good news comes in, I am still annoyed at Apple.

I am starting to know how Anakin Skywalker felt before he turned to the dark side.
With every Apple announcement recently I have found myself getting increasingly fed up with what we are getting served.
It first started when Apple discontinued my favourite program Aperture after waiting 3 years for a new version.
It has since been made worse by each and every announcement since.
Why, why, why Apple?
Every announcement has been , yah new MacBooks, what the, 1 USB port or yah new Mac Mini... what's this, soldered in Ram.
How in the world did this happen.
To the latest we couldn't use 32GB of ram in our top of the line 'Pro' laptop as that would mean we have to replace slow outdated ram with the latest tech, and then put in a slightly bigger battery to fill those valuable air gaps in case we worked so hard to create, just to get the same battery life.

As a long time user, I am nearing the end of my tether.
Please Apple don't make me go back to windows.

Perhaps I'm missing something. What does being good to CUSTOMERS on Black Friday have to do with being good to Employees?

The stupid watch is not selling, they're reducing the price for what nobody wants. A smart*** watch.
Hate to say it but it is Apple's best product imo.
I love my watch more than the rest of the crippled Apple line up.

You can get locked up for touch disease where I live...

What's wrong with Angela? Genuinely curious.

I think she is more about fashion than innovation. Also several launches were online instead of with the stores. I think people like to go to a physical location during a product launch. I hated what happened to the Apple Stores before she was hired but she seemed to make it even worst. Apple Employees should have better opportunities and rewards in an Apple Store. She makes comments like employees are executives but the actions don't match it.

I don't know if I'm reading this wrong, but this sounds like some serious Orwellian newspeak - twist it around and it could mean "people don't need gifts/promotions if they get to keep their jobs, be happy with your crumbs underlings!"
If I remember correctly this time last year a lot of companies were boycotting Black Friday as "inhumane" to employees and encouraging people to go out and do fitness type activities instead of shopping and harass poor overworked salespeople and being all materialistic. It was one of those new politically correct fads that seemed to be building momentum last year but is forgotten this year.

Here I found this article that mentions it. http://fortune.com/2015/11/30/apple-black-friday-cyber-monday/

REI apparently started it. Or maybe not, different articles cite different origins but it seems to have started on Facebook. http://money.cnn.com/2013/11/27/news/economy/boycott-black-thursday/index.html

As long as they offer some sort of discount on the Apple Watch I'll be happy as the UK price increase (bloody Brexit!) have been a nightmare.

Their slowest computer is the one not crippled? I don't follow your logic.
You know, the basic idea of Geekbench scores is: higher = better.

I can't imagine Apple having any major deals, if anything Black Friday deals have only gotten more and more meager. Apple historically didn't really provide any major incentives, though last year, I did save some money on a new iMac.

The kid in me is overjoyed that I get to read the word "Dongle" over and over and over again.
