How about putting the AirPods on sale on Black Friday. That would be pretty cool.

I wonder if we get some serious write downs though. I could use a new computer to replace my iMac Mid-2011 and I'm thinking about doing a laptop this time instead of an iMac.

Prob 10% off maybe less now that Cook is nickel and dimming hard as of late.

I like my watch bands! I guess its not "cool" to like stuff these days but I do! 20% off and I'd buy another one.
prob 10% off like previous bf years.

I currently work in retail...
I've always said that if companies want to be open on Black Friday then by all means...
Just do it online so employees can be with their families.
But friday is not a holiday. I'm all for opening at regular business hours though.

Apple deals are generally a normal half assed sale price you can get during back to school or similar days. Disappointment.

Black Friday is a creation of the retail industry, it's not a holiday. If you want to spend Friday with your family than take time off, like everyone else.

The stupid watch is not selling, they're reducing the price for what nobody wants. A smart*** watch.
How is it not selling? I see more and more people with it all the time in 2016. They also have 2/3 of they whole smart watch market. Think of all the fitbits out there and its only a sliver of the market.

Huh, maybe business is so bad they don't care about their employees anymore?

They stopped caring about the employees in 2008. I know because I used to work for Apple from 2005-2010. I LOVED 2005-2008. Best 3 years of my life working for anyone! Corporate culture was amazing and the retail side of things was still great then too. People actually loved working, shopping and using Apple products because it was still a culture that many people wanted to experience. Then towards the end of 2008 and into 2009, Apple got greedy like any power hungry corporation. I can appreciate their need for exceeding and becoming the best in the world for electronics and making as much money as they could. Heck, I want to make as much money as I can too, so I can understand. To a point! At the same time they started to not care about employees and just wanted to chase paper. By the end of 2009, you could see a moral shift in the culture within the stores, there was a divide from corporate and retail which did not exist in the past, and employees that once loved to work there started to hate it; myself included. I was born and raised on a mac. I started using them in 1986 and owned so many over the years. I bleed Apple, I live Apple and I will always use Apple, I think, but it got so bad that I couldn't work there anymore because I didn't want to hate Steve and the products he created because I had a lot of respect for him and loved the products I used. So I left in 2010 and moved on. Today I still use Apple in my business and personal life and love them. Even though a lot of the new products are eliminating features I need and want as a professional in the creative field. I just walked in to the store I left in 2010 and I can still see the low moral, chaos and cultural divide that pushed me out in 2010. Its a shame its almost 7 years later and I can still see it in people I do not even know.

your better of buying your Apple gear at Best Buy or Target...better deals....sorry Angela, I'm not supporting your salary :D
I actually just got a 2015 15" for dirt cheap with additional discounts on a totally maxed out machine from a 3rd party retailed rather than apple.

If you want latest and greatest, buy apple refurb a few months after a new product release. Thats about all apple retail is worth these days.

You apparently never worked retail. You do not have a choice of being off when you're a retail employee. They have blackout periods around major holidays that prevents you from taking off. If you take off then you no longer work there because it is considered a non excusable call off. Unless you go to the dr and get a legit note, but even then, you are still on their **** list and when you ****up the slightest they will can your ass.

I too think these will be US/Canada centric only offers too.

Third party retailers here in the U.K. might offer discounts on some Apple products but can't imagine massive savings will be found.

Dell must be trying to get rid of some of their inventory though... noticed an advert for one of their Core i3 Inspiron laptops for £199-down from £379.

Edit: is showing on the UK store too. View attachment 674027
Typical, I bought a watch last week as I assumed there'd be no Black Friday deals same as previous years.

Every year when Apple promotes their "sales" with their fancy taglines (overused sentence fragments) and the announced prices are just $100 off of a $1800 Macbook, I want to punch them in the face.

I've never seen a fitbit, I've never seen a smartwatch of any kind. I don't believe in wearables in general. There is not enough utility in this kind of computing for my taste.

Surprised that Phil Schiller isn't claiming it is absurd that Apple consumers should want a discount on Apple's products, discounts are what Apple's competition does to stay in the game.

If it were up to Phil then he would pick one day of the year to increase the prices of Apple products.
