What will he present tomorrow that I didn't know I needed and must find a way to purchase as quickly as possible?

If I was Hulu or Netflix, maybe. If I was Disney, I would laugh at Apple's puny streaming service. Disney is the only streaming service surprise that I think Apple could announce as being included that would guarantee its acceptance. But I don't think Disney needs Apple, so I don't think that is going to be announced.
Disney owns a lot of great content. I wouldn’t be worried if I were a Disney either, but Netflix owns almost zero great content. They burn cash trying to create it and license most of it.

Disney owns more quality content than any single entity. Domination.

Apple can buy anything they want, including all of Disney...which could be scary. It won’t happen...I don’t think.

But Netflix should be worried for sure. Disney and Apple could hurt them...a lot.

Media services are going to be great on:
1. Apple TV. Although they may largely continue to otherwise ignore that platform.
2. iPhone. Headache included.
3. Mac. Until the keyboard fails and it goes into a kernel panic. Oh wait, no tv supported there anyway. Moving along.
4. iPad. That’ll be great. Until my hands fall off.
5. Mac Pro. Just kidding.

Incredible! Nice to see a sneak peak before the event starts. This will be the second most important day of the year for Apple fans, after the iPhone event. WOW!!!

Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Man in the High Castle, The Expanse, Jack Ryan? Yeah none of that is “unwatchable.”

Jack Ryan: I think Jack Ryan showed up for maybe 10 minutes total in that thing. I found it pretty tedious, having read all the books and seen all the movies. But I like the rest of your list :)

So...services is where you’re gonna be now, Apple?

End of an era, truly... We are gonna see more and more mediocre hardware, until the day you stop making hardware altogether.

Yeah, far better to just fully cede services to other companies when you already have a huge head start, billions of installed devices, users with accounts and credit cards filed, deep integration across common daily activities. Why would any company leverage such assets? They’d be utterly stupid to do so.

Is this event of any interest for anyone who isn't American, British, Australian, Canadian, Brazilian, French, German, Mexican, Norwegian and Swedish? Because those are the only locations where the TV App is available. As to the News service, it's restricted to the first four. So... Who is this event intended for?

If by first 4 you're including Canada, then, no, it's not here yet. Might be tomorrow, based on the Rumors, but so far, we're void of Apple News just like the rest of the world.

Not exciting at all, as I expected this will be available to US UK & CANADA only.

I from Singapore.

I'd be highly surprised if it comes to Canada. Our local laws mandate a minimum of content has to be "Canadian Made", so even if Apple wanted to give it away for free, they couldn't here unless they've been somehow producing Canadian content. Most streaming services aren't able to launch here because of that restriction. Even the ones that have launched (like Netflix) can only provide a small portion of what the US gets because they need to maintain the "Canadian Made" ratio.

It's not as simple as Apple buying Disney. The culture of Apple will certainly clash with Disney. I don't think Disney really cares about Apple products as much as they care about the rest of the world.

I definitely plan to try out Apple's streaming service if they offer original content that I'm interested in. I've been a previous subscriber to Netflix/Hulu/Showtime because of their original programming and currently have Amazon Prime because of that very fact (e.g. Bosch & The Man in the High Castle). I'm really curious to see the quality of original content Apple has produced with their purported "intrusive" input into the production process.

On a side note, I don't think Jobs would have tried to inject himself or his team into the content production process. I do wonder if Cook is beginning to get an over-inflated view of himself due to his obvious mastery of logistics/production which has resulted in record profits for the company. I do wish that Apple had Elon Musk at the helm to provide the creative direction with Cook as an overseer to manage the business side of the company.

I loved The Professionals. Great cast.

It’s not allowed to use UK shows as a reference, though, I’m afraid.

There were some US shows in the list too :)
Oh my God, I have forgotten to mention BlackAdder. I am so going to get grilled for this :)

Can anybody deny my expectations?

Really? Think of all the industries that Apple has entered and the respective incumbent companies that have fallen after.

That were IBM and later Microsoft -- in the 20th century. Except for the small companies and startuos that Apple has destroyed, name a big company that has "fallen" after Apple has entered an industry. (I know, I know: Nokia. But cell phones were only a fraction of their business.)

The headline should be:
Apple Teases Tomorrow's Special Event with “Humorous” Live Stream of Steve Jobs Theater
