omg you must be the biggest Apple fan on the MR forums!

But I think you will have to wait for the Apple car. Not ready yet :(
Even I scare myself with enthusiasm sometimes. Ha.

Well they're not going to show the car until the event, they're going to hint at the car though. It's what's on the CarPlay display that's important.

I'm afraid this keynote will have nothing to offer for Europeans, at this point in time.
Now that's no fun. Apple is a global company. They gotta do something for Europe.

Well enthusiasm is good!

re: Europe, it’s impossible to guess what the rollout schedule will be, but reportedly 100+ countries will be included by the end of the year.

First time in like ten years I was really thinking about NOT watching this event. But man, I'm still a fanboy waiting for a miracle. And I will be so disappointed, I know!

I felt that with the recent keynotes... decline in excitement... but Apple still delivers the goods, eventually.

So...services is where you’re gonna be now, Apple?

End of an era, truly... We are gonna see more and more mediocre hardware, until the day you stop making hardware altogether.

Seeing as nearly all of Apple's revenue comes from hardware sales, I think this is a bit much.

ps, the car doesn't have to be ready, but ready enough to announce it's coming, similar to Tesla. Apple Car is arriving. I called it and I want all the credit for it.

You can hope and dream all you want. No Apple Car. At best, they are building the "smarts" for self-driving and full car automation. Maybe one year they'll get into "car hardware", but not this decade.

Why people have to find negative in something so simple and light-hearted as this. Apparently the world has just got to complain about everything and anything these days. Sigh . . . . .
Yeah, just hear or watch what this new service is about and then decide whether you're going to get it or not. Plain and simple.

It'll be interesting to see what's coming - Apple's PR seemed to be working hard on this one, the event is even being mentioned on morning radio news here. Perhaps there will be a surprise.

However, if it's just a me too streaming service then as everyone else is asking what really will they bring to the already quite busy party? That situation would remind me of the old joke - 'the way to make a small fortune in this industry is to start with a large one!'

Netflix, Amazon mostly have unwatchable content, I don't expect any different from Apple's Service.
Many people still consume quite a lot TV content despite YouTube, Vimeo, etc and all social medias which provide tons of video content and entartainment. What you consider unwatchable content could be a big deal for certain viewers. There are tons of TV shows, movies and series that are very popular but for me are complete garbage. So this is quite subjective matter. Amazon Prime movie cataloge is almost entierly made of 90's movies which are of no interest for me (as I have watched the vast majority of the good ones) but for someone younger, it could be quite a nice library actually. Personally, I dont spent much time infront of the TV at all, so I dont care if Apple service it is paid or free. It all depends on your lifestyle and interests. To be better that Netlfix, HBO and so forth, you just need to have larger library and better exclusive productions. If there is someone who can beat the competition, this is Apple, for sure. Im optimistic.

It’s never too late.. we thought apple was late to the music streaming table. No, they aren’t number 1 yet, but they are number 2 behind Spotify.

It will be the same with this. I think Netflix will be the leader for a while. But Disney, is the company that EVERYONE in the industry is going to worry about. Luckily Apple also has a fantastic relationship with Disney. So.. that could help

It would have been humorous if Tim walked across the stage in his boxer short exclaiming "I'm so exciiiited, this will be the best Apple News and TV shows ever!".

Who be rejecting a call from Chris Evans. That’s just wrong

Tony Stark.

Apple News service is gonna flop very hard. I can feel it coming.

Just sit back, take your beverage of choice, and watch the fiasco. Clueless people are holding the Apple ship's wheel.

Agreed. Coming from a job at a major newspaper, they are not going to give up 50% of their digital revenue to Apple. Newspapers are pinching pennies as it is. Without NYT or Washington Post (which Apple was never gonna get anyway because Bezos owns it), it's a dead deal.

Gosh. That's one big embarrassing dad joke right there. What's next, U2 and Eddy Cue "dancing" on stage?

It that's what Apple thinks is funny, imagine how good the shows are gonna be…
