sorry apple you are late for me. I switched to HTC One.

you know the feeling of hold nokia phone after using iPhone. i feel the same about iphone after using HTC one

This 5.7" size popped up in a few rumors lately.

What nobody has noticed is that if you take an iPad mini screen (retina) and cut it in half you get a 5.7" display for a presumed Apple phablet, with a resolution of 1536x1024 and the same DPI as the iPhone 4-5.

Having devs optimize apps for 1536x1024 screen using iOS 7 auto-layout APIs, would pave the way for split-screen multitasking on iPads, which would be able to run two phablet apps side by side.

Using the same reasoning, Apple could also make a 4.3-4.5" iPhone with a resolution of 1024x768 and a DPI in between the iPhone and the 9.7" iPad.

An iPad could run four 1024x768 apps at the same time, and the 5.7" phablet could run two.

Larger iPhone no thanks- after seeing the HTC one and one sv have to say iPhone screen size is just right.

Larger iPad - yes please, hurry up.
Funny probably carry both my mini for notes and a large one for drawings.

Just because YOU don't want a bigger screen does not mean other people do.
Here's what apple should do next year...
....Have a selection of iphones:

-The low cost version
-The current size (5S)
-Bigger size (5S, with the bigger option)
......... Kind of like choosing between a 13 inch and a 15 inch MACBOOK.... Why restrict everyone to one size?

Still on the fence about phone screen size, now that I picked up a tablet that want will be filled so the phone does not really need to be too large. My phone works well and the size is small based on something like the note is is cool yet quite large.

I completely forgot about that, with an insane budget that would be a cool item to have. However it seriously needs to increase the resolution.

WTH? a larger iphone is for muppets. The iphone 5 sizing is just right, any larger and it can't fit in your pockets easily.

Cargo pants.

I doubt I would like any phone in any other pocket then on the side, less annoying.

I own an iPhone 5 and a Lumia 928. Believe me, I do not like the feeling of holding the Nokia after the iPhone. So you feel the same about the HTC One? Sorry to hear that.

This is really interesting, but it's kind of strange Apple has backed themselves into this corner of apparently "hard coded" graphics. Needing to do everything in exact multiples and such. Android scales to any res, same with the new Windows stuff I believe. Just kind of strange.

This is verifiably false.

Last week I was at a shop with a bunch of phones, one was 6.1" (yes it was not a tablet) can't remember the brand but it was huge next to the iPhone 5 just a few phones over.

I still have a 3Gs so would love a bigger screen, I'll live with a 4" (which I think the 5s will have) but 4.5-5" would be in a different league for the iPhone.

Also want an iPad, will have to wait and see what Apple released later this year.

Putting aside all the iPad maxi jokes and photos of Phil Schiller holding an enormous iPad; If we could Imagine the bezels being virtually absent (if possible) how large would a 13" iPad be?

Also unless the resolution of such a device was increased I fail to see the benefit. It would simply be iPad apps that we are used to but all on screen elements would be slightly larger. The same thing happened to me recently when I got the bug to upgrade to larger LED monitors. My existing monitors are 23" 1920 x 1080 displays. I purchased 27" 1920 x 1080 displays to replace them. Upon hooking them up I quickly realized my error. I was seeing the EXACT same amount of information, it was simply larger. While this might be a benefit to some, perhaps someone with a visual impairment, IMO it does not seem to warrant a completely new device.

Sign me up for the 4.8" iPhone (although I think 4.6"-4.7" would be better), I don't know why it's taking them so long. I would even be fine with keeping the resolution 1136x640.

13" iPad I dunno, that's a bit odd. I can certainly see some uses for it, but it doesn't seem like it would be a big seller.

There are plenty of larger screen phones whose actual dimensions are not hugely different to the iPhone 5.

Slap an iPhone 5 on top of a Blackberry Z10 or a HTC One and whilst they are a little bigger in dimensions they are not overtly so. I think most people's pockets can handle 3-5 mm extra.....

however, only one previous rumor, which we classified as "sketchy" emerged in may that pinpointed a 12.9" size for a future ipad.while we dismissed that rumor before, the wall street journal's sources apparently confirm the testing of this large almost 13" screen size. The newspaper does explain that these new designs may never make it to market.

After going from a 4 to a SGS3 i found the samsung a pain to use with the size of it. Granted its exciting when you first get it, and the iphone felt small, but i ended up having to use to hands to do any typing across the screen. Went back to a iphone 5 and its the best size, ta very much.

Here's why there won't be a 13" touchscreen MacAir :)

You need a counterweight embedded in the keyboard deck, otherwise every time you touch the touchscreen, you tip the notebook over. All current touchscreen notebooks have this counterweight.

The MacAir's z-height and internal configuration just don't make this feasible.

How hard are you people touching your screens? The "counterweight" is your other hand on the area in front of your keyboard IF you even need it at all, which I wouldn't.

I doubt they would call it iPad Maxi.

I'd go for iPad Pro.

Perfect for musicians, video editors, DJs etc...
