Apple is not a private company. It’s a publicly traded company, and events like this can spell certain doom to their shareholder’s pocketbooks.
Because a president who has every platform that he could imagine to incite violence and randos on the internet are the same thing? Don't forget that Twitter's official policy had been to leave all of Trump's tweets untouched until recently, whereas it was fair game for them to delete your posts or ban you.

You are pretending there was not outrage over both incidents. Pretending and imagining things. Both incidents are to be denounced and condemned. Both incidents were overreactions - and ineffective against their causes! Stop brutality and murders by police. Stop election fraud. But this way never works.

Yet they do nothing to take down Antifa or BLM pages and posts on Facebook and Twitter that do the same thing. That’s the issue that most people are upset about. They only apply it to the groups they disagree with.

Did you not see the news yesterday? As they were confirming Biden’s victory a group of the other guy’s supporters committed treason, killed a cop, tried but failed to kill people with pipe bombs, and committed countless other felonies. The “bad side” (your words) have made themselves very obvious.
Trump literally told people to go fight. He actually used those exact words. What we are seeing now is the effect of online forums that serve as echo chambers for extreme viewpoints, radicalizing people further and further. The internet is dangerous, it's something I don't think early internet evangelists realized would happen, but it is clearly happening on both sides. The left and right in this country are both becoming more radical. It is in everyone's interest to tamp down the online rhetoric before it becomes too extreme, and the place to draw the line is calls for violence and harm. Those should not be tolerated on mainstream platforms, and good on Apple and Google and Twitter for drawing a line in the sand.

Ah, but they are walking a fine line. In trump's case, the permanent suspension was justified, but to ban someone for saying, say, 'Twitter sucks' would be an over reach. There was a website, Free Republic, that would ban anyone who 'looked' liberal. There was a contest to see how long, or short, it took for people to be banned. They would literally ban the IP address too. So afraid of people with conflicting ideas, someone to spook the sheeple passing their time in the grasslands away... Trump said he loves the uneducated. Of course he does. He doesn't have to work as hard to get them to give up their lives. All he has to say is 'BOO!!!'...
