Downloaded just because. Hate trump but don’t censor the right if you won’t censor the left.

It was republicans to democrats in both scenarios, so yeah, apples to apples.

And remember the entire 4 years Trump was in office how people threatened him consistently on social media and nothing was done about it? That pesky “free speech” thing again...

No it was not and you know it. The BLM protests, and yes in some cases riots, were for very different reasons. Not Apples to Apples by any means. Initially many on the right supported the protests even on media outlets such as Fox. When they turned violent there was legitimate pushback on the violence from both sides but of course only one side used it to completely undermine the underlying cause. Same modus operandi with the NFL protests.

With regard to Trump's four years in office nothing was said or done to him that wasn't said or done to Obama in spades for the 8 years prior to that. You want to keep going on back till the civil rights era and beyond in a cycle of recrimination, be my guest. But you will never end up on the right side of history.

As for 'free speech' or 'freedom of speech', as has been pointed out many times in this thread, you guys never seem to understand the fundamental concept and only use it as a superficial 'catch phrase'.

Antifa does not exist according to the FBI. I will certainly take their word over an orange racist man child.

Antifa DID exist. Every soldier that went to war against Nazi Germany was Antifa. MILLIONS of lives were ended, trillions of dollars were spent, all to remove the stain of Hitler and his minions from humanity.

I had a writing class in college were someone wrote a paper stating that people will be drawn to the horror of the atrocities of that time over and over again through out human history just based on the horrific facts of what people 'following orders' did. The prof singled out that paper, and we discussed it. It was the consensus that humanity *could* avoid repeating those crimes against humanity because they were so horrific. I was fascinated by that part of class. And apparently they gave humanity far too much credit, sadly...

To many died defeating the Nazi plague. It's far too soon to see it come back again. Tragic doesn't describe it enough.

But they NEED to be able to tell us all how to think. Otherwise, we might form opinions that are different from theirs, and then we won’t toe the line.

And goodness knows personal accountability is out the window.
If you think that the Democratic party (which is objectively wildly more diverse than the lily white Republican party) is intolerant of different opinions, then you "having your own thoughts" is probably less "your own thoughts" and more along the lines of GOP mouth diarrhea.

It is obvious we need better education including an investment in critical thinking skills.

I can’t speak for others but outside of the nefarious, the aim is not to tell you what to think but rather know that we start from the same basic principles (as a people), act in good faith and be vigilent for inaccurate information.

America clearly isn‘t in a place where we share a common set of principles (and facts) that guide our actions. Companies like Apple, Twitter, Facebook, etc are trying to navigate something that we are not equipped to handle. For example, no matter how many times someone says it here - the First Ammendment has no bearing on what is being discussed here. Why is it being invoked? Because there is nothing else that applies to what we’re trying to achieve and more importantly we have not come to an agreement on what should be applied.

For example, do we agree that violent speech should not be tolerated whether I agree with it or not?

Apple should have done this sooner. I was reading that to be verified on Parler, people had to reveal their SSN as proof of identity. Lmaooo. Of course pathetic Tr*mp supporters would go along with this. Lmaoooooooo. Good riddance.
Wait, for real? LOL, if so!

I know exactly what kind of person you are based on your posts in this very thread. What's your favorite thing about Trump? That's he's a racist? That he doesn't pay taxes? That he has bankrupted multiple business? That he been conning people out of money his whole life? That he cheated on his wife with porn stars? That he ordered for children to be separated from their parents and locked in cages? That he sides with Russia over his own intelligence agencies, which makes him a traitor? Let me know from that list.

Tell me what horrible things have happened to you since Trump became president? Which policies of his, exactly, affected you negatively? Tax cuts? Peace deals? Lowest unemployment rates, including minorities, in history? Most thriving stock market in history? Which of those things were horrible for you personally?

If you believe Trump is a racist, you clearly know NOTHING about the man, and you are just blinded by the media’s hatred. When Obama built and used those cages, no one said a da** word. I’m quite sure he’s paid more taxes in his lifetime than I’ve earned, but frankly, so many politicians are crooked with money, you just have no ground there at all. His personal life really isn’t my business. I mean after all, we had a president receive oral se* in the White House from someone other than his wife.

I believe Trump is not a perfect person by any stretch, but I think he has done what he thought was best for AMERICA - not everyone else - and I appreciate his efforts to not sell us out at every turn. It does NOT believe I worship him, agree with his every move, or think he can do no wrong. There’s a huge difference there.

This is a joke right? 😂

Unless Big Tech is counting on Biden to pack the Supreme Court within the year, I really don't think this is going to end the way they expect.

So...it only matters if it affects one personally? I like presidents who don't incite to riot or commit sedition.

“Antifa does not exist according to the FBI.” If you believe what the FBI tells you regarding Antifa then you are part of the problem. Just remember the government always knows best.

And for the record I don’t think what the the protestors/rioters did in DC was right. However when you compare the hypocrisy of what happened over a few hours in DC to what happened for months on end all over the nation that’s when you really see the one sided view and policing that Big Tech and the MSM take. It’s disgusting.

Let me get this straight. Trump believes Antifa exists and has caused a lot of trouble. The FBI Director works for Trump, but says Antifa doesn’t exist? Wouldn’t it be easier for Trump to have the FBI push the Antifa narrative?
