It's so weird to see that some of these criminals were ex-militray. Military service means to serve the United States and defend its freedom and democracy. So why did they join the service? What did they think the military was protecting if not the U.S. Constitution? Did they think that the U.S. military was not a part of the United States of America and they were in the service to serve one man (e.g. Trump) and defend anti-democratic principles? boggles the mind.
The loon who got shot trying to jump through the broken window actually served four tours in the USAF. Not sure what got into her head but for some inexplicable reason she thought she was invincible. Mob psychology I guess?!
She swore an oath to defend the country but tried to break into the very symbol of democracy.

This goes to show that you are quite ignorant of the current state of the US military. My neighbor served in Afghanistan (he is black). We have talked about this quite a bit -- he says white power fascists are all over the US military, and quite out in the open with their neo nazi tattoos, you name it. Yes, on paper you are right, it makes no sense, but here in reality, the US military has been way too tolerant of the seditious fascists in their rank and file for years, and it does make sense that domestic terrorists emerge from it. Needs to be put down NOW!

White privilege can get pretty intense -- "BULLETS WILL NOT STOP ME!" Until they shot her in the face when she tried to storm the door blocking the Congressional chamber, and she bled out in front of her screaming, seditious mob of pals, who quickly seemed to stop giving a care about her once her lifeless body stopped writhing around.

These fools are getting brainwashed in echo chambers. Talk about sheep. They really feel like they are right and everyone else is wrong. Freedom of speech only goes so far. If you are using social media to incite hate or organize hate crimes, don't be surprised when restrictions and arrests start happening.

Kinda like Meghan McCain. Now she sees the value of paid Maternal leave now that she had a baby. I guess it’s a privilege these days to learn from other people’s pain and suffering without actually going thru the misery yourself first.

The white slave owners who instigated the Civil War also thought they were right. Same goes for the Nazis and fascist Japanese during WWII. To some degree, we're all "brainwashed" by contemporary society and our culture, but these folks really take the cake when it comes to willingly forfeiting any aspect of rational thought.

They are cultists, really, nothing more. The same mindset that attracts people to Manson and David Koresh. Now it's Donald Trump who is the leader of the personality cult, and these people will do ANYTHING for him.

I heard about an older couple giving their life savings to Trump, after the election, to "Stop the Steal." Ultimate con man, cleaning out the bank accounts of the angry white people who can't stand being on equal footing. For the record, I am totally a white guy.

Anyone who wants to know how ignorant some of them are just watch Jordan Klepper at Trump rallies. Doing your research and forming an opinion, I admire. But just blindly following one former TV show host is what gets me.

Well, yes, but it doesn't sound like she for one learned anything except through her own experience.

These people come down to one perspective and one perspective only: ME ME ME ME ME ME MEEEEE!!!!

It is impossible for them to even try to walk a foot in another's shoes. That would acknowledge the other, and that would fly in the face of it being al about ME ME ME ME ME ME MEEEEE!!!!

Defund the Thought Police!
This is going too far. I have defended Apple when people attack "Big Tech" for censorship. I do not believe Apple has the right to dictate to Parler what is and is not acceptable points of view to be shared on their platform.

Twitter, Facebook and this latest Apple move come after the Senate goes to the Democrats.

They want to seem cooperative, as there's for sure much of regulations coming there way.

I'm not a military person, but I respect what our arm services stand for. Don't they have any kind of screening to weed out these crazies from enlisting? Sound like the military is basically giving them free training and then unleashing them back to society. What a recipe for disaster.

I hate to break it to you, but hispanics are now essentially considered white, just like Irish and Italians made this transition in USA in the 20th century. Walking around, you're white. You're not a person of color or minority by contemporary American definitions, and those are just facts.

Plenty of white power fascists who are Latinx I'm afraid, including the literal leader of the Proud Boys, who espouses racist garbage all of the time. Just because nazis change their ways and allow more into the fold, doesn't mean they aren't nazis. And nobody reasonable agrees that you can't block apps that actively allow white power fascists to overthrow American democracy. This is literally going on on Parler AS WE SPEAK, and you know what? Apple and those of us in the sane world aren't going to cry one tear.

Go skulk around on the dark web if you want the freedom to congregate with nazis, but it ain't going to happen on the App Store.
Well said

Tech companies are by nature more liberal. Apple is definitely a left of center company. You'd think that the alt-right and Trumpsters would stay clear of websites and forums dedicated to supporting these companies. I guess that's part of the illogic of it all.
The absurdity here is that TechieGeek thinks that there is some kind of ideological purity that comes with the products one chooses. It does not occur to TechieGeek that someone could be left, right or center and still see the value in Apple products.

f Apple bans Parler I'm out. Will never buy an iPhone again. So glad I didn't buy a M1 device. No way I'm letting Apple dictate which apps I can or can not install on my laptop or desktop computer.
How is Apple dictating what you can use? And why would use Parler anyway? Sounds to me it's full of alt-right nuts.

Do all conservatives now embrace violent extreme fringe groups? What happened to honorable conservatives who believe in the principles of liberty, equality, fiscal responsibility and rights guaranteed by the Constitution?

No matter how much you slice'n'dice it, it's censorship. The tech companies, which played the significant decisive role in winning the election for the Democrats, encouraged the violence, destuction and looting a short while ago are now censoring this. The tech companies, Dems, and others were also actively encouraging and promoting the violence in HongKong not long ago. You may not like Trump, but the power of the tech companies are getting out of hand. Beware.

This.

And there is no room to tolerate the intolerant. It is a horrible idea. You cannot allow sedition, white power and fascism to rise, period.
They tried that in the Weimar Republic. It didn't work. They try it again in the EU, and it still doesn't work.

All while fascism never rose to a prominent status in the US, precisely because there was room to air intolerant views.

But now that the dominant information highways censor the leader of the opposition (!), it is all downhill. You will just cement the polarization, and the decline will continue, to the point that the US goes the way of Britain.

The absurdity is that

I may not get what your saying, but it's not absurd. It's a fact most tech companies are socially moderate to liberal. I'm not talking about who uses what products or purity of ideology. (I wouldn't want to sound like an alt-right). I'm sure the king of Saudi Arabia uses an iPhone, a product of the decadent West. Why are conservatives so surprised when they know that tech companies can enforce their rules? If users find the politics of a company not to their liking, they can spend their money elsewhere in the wonderful free market. That happens routinely and people make choices. Isn't that why Parler exist in the first place?

People complain because they want to make a political statement. Tech companies, like people, fall along an ideological spectrum. When they're forced to act, Apple and Twitter, by the prospect of real violence, they have to make a call based on their principles and ideology . That's not absurd.
