No one is asking for censorship -- we're asking private entities not to lend their platform to extremist views.
If it's so, I agree but, who decides what is extremists? because if you are an editor there is the law who decides, if you are a company your judgment can and surely is political. It's too easy to say: "I censor you because what you say is extremist".

With all due respect to human beings residing in the United States that may be reading this. If you support sedition, murder and violence and that is your perception of freedom and justice then please by all means go to any number of banana republic dictator ships and make your home there.

What occurred in the capital earlier this week is just what it was: A blatant act of sedition accompanied by murder and violence, instigated by a politician who lost an election.

Also try to recall the 2000 election there was no such insurrection or protest by any of the left. And that legitimately had issues and even was reviewed by the Supreme Court.

I believe all these entities are simply trying to ensure that lies are not circulated as truth. If you wish to engage in fantasy then label it as such.
The BLM riots in DC were worse. Didn’t see and businesses destroyed or looted, no fires.

Gosh.. where were you for the last half of 2020 ? Because the violence that occurred then made this look like Childs play.

You know, there is a lesson to be learned here for every developer of an app which really just unnecessarily repackages web content: make a fully functional mobile website and you won't have to worry about whether people are able to (or want to) download your app!
I actually agree on this. A proper mobile website should be available regardless. Some devs are too “app” centric.

This isn't the way to do it. Shutting people up like this and completely blocking them out is not the way. This will lead to much much worse outcomes.
I want you to think your cunning plan through and show a scenario where it would "lead to much much worse outcomes"

The BLM riots in DC were worse. Didn’t see and businesses destroyed or looted, no fires.

No fires, just 2 explosive devices, a dead woman, a cop who died after being beaten over the head, poop smeared all over the walls, stolen national security documents and devices, tear gas, bullets fired into the House chamber, and the international embarrassment of having the seat of our government overrun by a group of white supremacists wearing Viking horns and Nazi propaganda while they tore down the American flag and replaced it with that of their cult leader.

I think Apple are dealing with this better than Google by giving Parler a chance to prevent an imminent loss of life. Remember that this has happened before when the Tumblr app was removed due to child abuse: https://www.macrumors.com/2018/11/20/tumblr-removed-from-app-store-child-abuse/

BTW, according to Wikipedia:
The Brandenburg v. Ohio U.S. Supreme Court decision maintains that seditious speech—including speech that constitutes an incitement to violence—is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution as long as it does not indicate an "imminent" threat
According to the screenshot Apple was referring to, there's an imminent threat in some of the content shared in the app and so Apple are merely honoring the supreme court's decision.

If you are an editor, the law *doesn't* decide -- that's the First Amendment. But as to companies, yes, their judgment is subject to their politics and their biases. I happen to think that's a good thing, since consumers can decide whether they want to support one company or another based on those views, but it requires healthy competition in the marketplace.

What are your “thoughts” exactly?
Thank you for your comment because you just confirm what I said. You, neoliberals, you think that you can hush anyone you don't like just putting one of the following labels "fastist", "you have no thoughts" etc... Instead most of democratic countries have in their constitutions written that freedom of expression must be free with no limits unless you go against the law. And guess what? Twitter, Facebook, Apple, Google etc... THEY CAN'T DECIDED IN PLACE OF THE LAW.
Too easy to hush someone just because you don't like his opinions! so I guess you like China and North Korea concept of freedom.
