I cannot wait for the 6s+ !!! Having the Note 4 this past year taught me that the Android world (and particularly Samsung), while highly customizable, isn't worth all the headaches associated to it. So...I'm ready to dump it. Was thinking about staying with Android and moving to HTC or maybe going with a Nexus....but while it may not have Android's bells and whistles of customization, the iPhone to me is just simply a better cohesive device that pretty much works on all fronts. So...its back to Apple for me and I couldn't be more happier on that decision.

I will miss having the expandable memory card though...but at this point, I'm ok with it!

I think I'm going to stick with my iPhone 6+ it's a great device that works well, and with IOS 9 it should be even better, Unless Apple does something that wows me. I'm more interested in a iPad Pro, hope Apple release it this year (probably at a October event), The bigger screen with multitasking will be great!

Why do they keep calling this the "new" iPhone? I just watched that video without sounds and its exactly the same thing as the old one. Same form factor and appearance but with the usul extra ram, slightly faster processor, slightly better camera, slightly less bendy case and forced touch gimmick thingy. Anyway. Who cares if it's indiscernible from last years release .. Just pass me my Apple Watch so I can pay for it .... NOW! Thanks

The processor/performance and both cameras will be more than "slightly" better.

Just a word to the wise...there is no confirmation that this will be called "iPhone 6s," as with such dramatic technical improvements, Apple may skip the 's' interation and simply introduce this as 'iPhone 7' - at least that is my prediction. The "3GS" was the first 'S' phone, and then 4s, 5s, and 6s. I think the public is most likely to go gangbusters on an iPhone 7, than an iPhone 6s, especially if they already have a 6.

Highly unlikely to happen. Why break an incredibly successful naming convention? The rumoured technical improvements are no more "dramatic" than we've seen with previous X > XS moves.

And, with every 'S' release outselling it's predecessor so far, I don't think Apple need to worry too much about people not going crazy over this release, regardless of it's name.

In the film the rose gold looked brown to me. I'm on iPad mini retina with a slightly crippled color gamut so reds and magentas and pinks take on a rusty tint compared to what you'd see on a monitor or IPad Air. So that may also skew my perception of the color of the Rose gold.

In the pictures you provided in your post the Rose gold does look pinkish. My husband likely would not want it. He's got very conservative tastes for the most part. He has a gold MacBook only because they are hard to get and that was the only color available to him at the time one was finally offered to him. He likes it a lot, but it's not a color he would normally choose for a business accessory.

But many of his younger male employees like colors and don't like to be limited to silvers and grays and blacks. They would take purple if offered the choice. They don't have to meet with representatives or heads of other companies. They don't have to project a serious image. So when given that freedom they go for the colorful and playful.

I am a tomboy and currently have a space grey phone and iPad mini. I don't generally go for bright colors in accessories, either. But it's been several years now that I've gone for the serious look and I'm a bit bored by the austerity. For my next devices I'm going light and as playful as I can get. If there is a pink iPhone 6s, I'm going for it!

Edit to add: I just realized there are other films after the first one I saw embedded in the original post. Apparently the new Rose gold is either very pink or the russet color. They just don't know which shade Rose Gold will actually end up being. I'd been confused up to now and thought the Rose gold you were talking about was the pinkish tinged gold shade. Not that Hello Kitty Pink, which to me is just plain pink and can not possibly be construed as a shade of gold.

So anyway, I have to agree with you. If the new Rose gold turns out that brilliant pink hue, I can't see that many men going for it. Some will. But I don't think it's going to be s popular color with men.

Speaking only for myself, I'm flexible on color personally; I've had iPhones and iPads in all three of the traditional Apple iOS device colors, and my iPhone 5C is yellow :)

I'm undecided on which color to go with for the new MacBook, I'm torn between the gold and space gray.. since my other MacBooks are silver, I'm ready for a change there. My iPhone 5S is white & gold, my iPhone 4S was white & silver, my iPhone 3G was black.. I'll be going with the iPhone 6S in space gray this time, but not the plus+ version. I'm not in need of a huge phone, I like having a phone that fits my pocket. Besides, that's what the iPad is for if I need a bigger screened iOS device.

I probably wouldn't go for a full on pink as in the photo.. (We can refer to that one as the Mary Kay edition) but I can imagine it being popular with certain demographics, not limited to women, but my hunch is that would be the majority of purchasers.

I'm surprised with the rumors that there won't be an iPhone 6C, which is where I would have expected a pink colored option to be more likely than a metal bodied iPhone. Although not out of the barn yet

It looks more pink than brown to me, but I suppose we'll just have to wait and see

But then I found this, so who knows?

Just because I mention they're guy colors doesn't mean they're for guys only. ;)

I don't get the appeal of those huge phones either.

I definately want the 6s(+) space grey to be darker, like the 5s!

Android M is coming this Sep/Oct will have two big features: expandable storage (installing app/games in external USB drive) and bluetooth headphone. These two features will never see the light in Apple camp.

Umm, bluetooth headphones work on both iOS and Android in their current versions and have done so for quite a while. No need to wait for Android M for that.

Lol, Mary Kay Edition...I like that! The last iPhone I had that was not black bezeled was the 3GS. My favorite phone so far was the IPhone 4. That was the one that was a good combination of capable and pocketable.

I think if they come out with the 6c it would be nice to have the iPod touch colors.

Having tried the 6plus for the past year I agree with you completely. When I want to do serious web surfing or work I tend to use my iPad. I don't really make as much use of the bigger screen to justify the trade off of awkward portability. I'm going with the 6s.

No, they don't work on android TV nor ATV. Android TV is not exactly the same Android mobile. ATV is not the same as IOS. It is more limited, no browser for example.

I have both ATV and Nvidia Shield Android TV. Do you have these and confirm that Bluetooth headphones work?

Whoops, my bad. Somehow I was under the impression that you were referring to the phone builds at that part of your post, but after reading it again it's obvious that this isn't the case. I checked my Nexus Player and 2nd generation Apple TV and neither of them paired with my headphones. It's true that Android moves more quickly (also) on the TV side, but based on my experience often with some performance penalty. The reason my Apple TV is also hooked up to my TV even though I have also the Nexus Player and a Chromecast is that whenever I want to stream some content for which there's no native Android TV app, AirPlay beats the Google Cast (if I'm not mistaken, both Chromecast and the Nexus Player use this one) technology quite clearly when it comes to picture quality.

2gb ram will have me envious, my Air 2 performs so much better than my 6+.

Probably skip it though, firmly into diminishing returns territory here. New one will be awesome no doubt, but not enough for me to shell out. Bar the lack of ram, I've never been so satisfied with an iPhone - screen, battery, I love my 6+.

I always go contract free and max storage so usually take a hit on price when I come to sell it, which factors into my decision whether to upgrade or not.

And no, cloud/streaming is absolutely no substitute for local storage the way I use my phone. Thanks for the inevitable advice though.

Yes! Almost here. Been waiting for a while to come back to iPhone (last one was the 4S). Gimme that 6S+

Between my iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, and 2014 MacBook Pro, I think I can safely skip this generation of updates... If I can restrain myself. :D

Agree about the local storage thing .. 16gb just ain't good enough I think Apple should have 32gb base and 64/128 options

Lol, a word yes- to the wise, nope.

Sounds like Andriod and Samsung have not changed since I had the S4. Can I ask what is the Note 4 like? When I had the S4 it was buggy, half the times the features were not very responsive and there were hardly any updates for the OS. This is why I returned to an iPhone because it seems more stable and the ecosystem is a great one with regular OS updates and I've never had a problem with any iPhones I've had. Sometimes I do think it would be nice to have some of the Note 4 features tho, particularly the ones with the S Pen.
