I just returned from the store with my new iPhone 5! It was a bit convoluted but basically they did a "cancel/refund" and then I bought the phone with no contract. When I plugged it in, iTunes told me it was unlocked so that's good
No activation fee on any of my receipts.
AT&T or Verizon?

If it was anything like yesterday, I would not be surprised if he stock was not updated yet when you were searching for the blacks. Did you try a black after you saw the white was in stock?
yea ive been trying to get a white 16 att around philly with no luck. there was 1 at menlo park edison last night but didnt wanna take the drive.
LOL not all us new yorkers speak like that. Unfortunately the larger markets are commanding more units.
yea man this is maddness that all nyc stores are sold out of the att version, i mean people order that FAST that it sold out in nearly 5 minutes after 10? 
i read that there is a bunch of the verizon ones in NYC but i was checking for att and the ONLY one i found was a white 32gb in the west 14th st store, i wanted white but 16 but oh well..
