Well, I am actually going in as a brand new line of service (not an upgrade) and it is asking for all my credit information (driver's license, SSN, etc.) just to put it in the cart, then it says "Checking eligibility". Hopefully it isn't hitting the credit report every time!
I had to choose a line that wasn't eligible for an upgrade. Otherwise I couldn't do a full price purchase.
At what point is it saying it's in stock? The only time I see anything about in store pickup mentioned is when I'm at the cart!
My dad has a line on our family account that isn't due for an upgrade. I used that line to put the phone in the cart. Shouldn't be an issue to buy it for that line and just not activate it on the line. When I get the phone, I just need to call Verizon and activate it on my line before turning it on. Then remove the data plan off his line.Could you briefly elaborate on that? Is that something I could do to? And would I, by doing that, achieve the almost impossible goal: Buying an Verizon iPhone at retail price without contract?![]()

When I check my local store, it says in GREEN that it is IN STOCK. Other stores say unavailable for pickup
But... you cant select to pick it up. It flippin annoying.

How did you check your local store?

OK, so, on the Apple Store app, you can select various stores to see where it is in stock. You may have to try several.
Scroll down and click pickup store i am using the app store app.
Weird! I got a conflicting message from an Apple chat rep!
