As much as I'd like to see Android disappear forever, its not quite on its last legs yet. Samsung however...
Well it's about time Apple does this. Now they can look at what Android offers and copy it for iOS 9lol lol lol
I paid $714 for my Note 4 and over $800 for my Note Edge. Unless Apple can give the full price. NO!
I thought all the Android users already switch to iPhone 6? Wasn't that the plan all along with the 6 plus?
Most of them did, this program is for the stragglers.![]()
They really don't need to do this. Companies that do this type of thing are typically playing catchup.
Except for the phablet form factor your iPhone 6 + is rocking mate.
I paid $714 for my Note 4 and over $800 for my Note Edge. Unless Apple can give the full price. NO!
Android's existence bothers you that much? In what way is your life better if android didn't exist? How does android hurt you?
That is just so pathetic, all I can do is laugh.
Apple is going to grab more marketshare by selling devices to people who cannot afford them?
Actually, Apple sold more smartphones than Samesung last quarter.
Trying to attract Android users is the opposite of defensive. It's aggressive, it's ballsy, it's signals a message of intent that Apple is ready to start taking bigger bites into the marketshare Android currently enjoys.
If this falls to sale iPhones maybe BOGO will work.
(For those that don't know what that means "Buy One Get One" free.)
Looks like the S6/S6 Edge is scaring the crap out of Apple. Apple trying to lock people into contracts before the hammer drops.
Why do people who defend Android (mostly with illogical arguments) always end their posts with a footnote listing their iDevices and how much they enjoy using them.
Hmmm...![]()
It seems as though some people on this forum had the exact reverse opinion when Android did a similar type of maneuver. It wasn't a trade in - perhaps it was just Google creating documents on how to migrate from an iPhone to Android. But the opinion on this forum that I remember was that it reeked of desperation from Google.
I didn't think it reeked then. And I don't think this reeks either. But I still find it amusing.
Do you also find it amusing that some people on this forum thought it was a great idea that Google created those documents and some people on this forum are saying Apple is desperate for doing this?
I think it's amusing no matter how you want to present it. This is business. And all companies are smart to try to lure their competitors customers away. Creating documents or a trade in program isn't desperation or whatever label one wants to put on it.
It's smart business.
Except nobody wanted to trade their Iphones, or Android Phones for Windows Phones... ;-).
Xiomi is also doing trade ins for Iphones which anyone there would be crazy to do seeing as even used Iphones sell for a good price down there.

If they give people $20, that's probably a lot more than what they're worth anyway ;-).
