Agreed. I am also vaccinated as a personal choice based on the whole of my medical risk and with the help an advice of my physician that knows me an understands more of the entirety of my medical situation than any bureaucratic medical professional or politician that I have never met.

The science will never be settled on this because we know we will not get rid of this virus anytime soon and some new variants require new vaccines which could have only been prevented by vaccinating in the first place. So by the time the science is settled for one variant, there will new variants that require new testing and vaccination all over again. We will never catch up.

Nothing is 100% safe in life. Talking to anti or vaccine hesistant people, it's clear that their resistance has moved away from caution and further towards selfishness.

No need but, in most cases to date, it doesn’t hurt and can help. Most of the current vaccines are based on an incomplete immune system response to one aspect of the actual virus, the spike protein. An actual virus immune response results in interaction with the entire virus and appears to be very different than the response to just the spike protein.

I got vaccinated as soon as I could at work. I work with the public and people who have reduced access to health care and I considered it my obligation to do what I could to keep those people from potentially becoming infected.

This was months AFTER I contracted Covid and recovered.

I work in a major financial company and the partial return to work has been pushed to "no sooner than January" with it looking like April. as of October "no persons shall enter into company buildings without having completed vaccine status" survey of employees says I will not return to work with unvaccinated coworkers. It also says, if I have to return to the office 5 days a week, I quit. Word in the halls....if they let unvaccinateds in and I get sick here...I will sue as they knowingly told me I have to come in and did not protect me. employees are required to upload a copy of their vaccination card along with date and location of each shot. Information will be verified.....if you are using a counterfeit card......it will be turned over to law enforcement. Oh yeah....it's a "work at will state", so you can legally be terminated at any time for any reason.
