I'll suffice with the split keyboard functionality on the iPad. This feature was meant for me, just gotta wait for Apple to get it out the door. Excited!

Thats what was being said before Lion, hopefully it's ready enough for the masses to start clogging apple's iCloud servers and then 5.1 to polish.

Correct me if am wrong. But device which do not register as dev device can't install pre-release iOS. So there is a lot of wise but bad people selling that slot of UDID of their dev program. They get money. You are among the first who get pre-release software with bugs as a gift instead of free fully function software but several weeks later.
Lucky. I can't get a new iPod Touch in a long time. I too have the 2G MB model but it's jailbroken so I'm good. Anyways have fun with iOS 5 cause I won't get it. Dam you Apple. You are making me switch to Android now. Well almost.
It's technically not free. You do have to have a paid developer account to be able to download the software legitimately.
Question for you (or anyone else). Does the iCloud iWork beta work with the OS X iWork as well? When I watched the keynote, it seemed to imply that it would only sync documents on iOS.
If so, that seems pretty pointless, as most of the work done on iWork is on the OS X version! If it synced perfectly between all iWork versions, THAT would be sweet. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
I have the original Touch. Luckily I got an iPad recently after getting a Droid and realized why I love iOS. Bring on the 5!
I don't see Apple releasing the GM before the event, especially if speech to text appears in the build. Apple will want to demo that as it's a major new feature.

I wish it would integrate directly into the OS X documents folder, but i don't think thats in the cards yet, unless they pull a surprise. AFAIK, you have to go to iCloud.com to download any edited/ stored documents from an iDevice
