How reliable is the retina iMac rumour? It seems weird to do it when they added a new model to the line not that long ago, I would have thought these would be waiting for Broadwell anyway, for the better graphics capabilities for driving high pixel density displays.

Isn't a Thursday event kind of rare? Will pre-orders then go on sale at midnight and in-store sales the next Friday?

Anything less than Yosemite, TBD, 5k iMac, new Mac Mini, New Apple TV, New Airport devices, New iPad, 12" touch Mac Air and iPad pro means Apple is doomed, their devices are bendy and Safari is snappier.

There, no need for anyone else to post.

Every time an Apple Event is planned....

Anyone heard mention of the "For Sale" dates on the new version iPad air? My son is chomping at the bit to buy an iPad, and I keep trying to get him to wait for the new version. It would help if I could tell him when they will be available.

w/ a refresh like this, it tends to go on sale instantly.

Maybe the rmini will finally get a decent gamut screen.

Finally we'll see 2Gb ram, am calling it people.

If all it adds are the A8 and Touch ID, I'm on board. My employer just added a "complex password" requirement to get e-mail and network access. It's fine on my iPhone 6 (and 5s before it), but every time I look at my iPad mini I need to type it in.

I would like a Airport Express with AC wifi. Been waiting to see if they'll release one with this event. I'll be getting one anyways, but it would be nice if they added the AC standard.

Humm...not even a mention of the mac mini....

Though I NEED a mac mini right now, it may be worth the wait for Broadwell processors and POSSIBLY a redesign and will not be disappointed if Apple waits..

Dilemma: IF updated Mac mini's come out in October with Haswell processors, would Apple THEN do a refresh or redesign immediately when Broadwell comes out or wait a few more years with Haswell and then do a redesign?

I got caught buying a mac mini 2009 and then three months later the 2011 version came out...

BUT...I upgraded to a flash drive and 8 gigs of memory and though it is a dual core 2009 tech, seems relatively fast still...

Many people need a new mac mini and if one was updated EVEN with small specs, Tim Cook will make TONS of money, BUT if Apple updates 6 months later (just like I was screwed with the iPad 3) MANY people will be upset...

Kind of a dilemma: Apple has to make a decision to either wait or put out to please....

All of them will be classed as candidates. Only the official release will be classed as the final product.

Well, last year and all years previous they were just called GMs. They probably changed it to make it less confusing if they have to do another one, which they did last year.

hmm 5k retina iMac would be amazing

tempted to sell my current iMac now

Wait. I'm sure it'll be insanely expensive. And graphics performance on the first one probably won't be that great.

Now would be the logical time, with the new iPhones having it. I hope they move back to the more compact design they had.

I can't wait to upgrade my iPad Air on pre-order day using the Apple Store app on my iPhone 6 Plus.

Lower end, cheaper model introduced - which at the time was thought to be laying the ground for a more expensive retina model. I'm just wondering if it's worth buying a riMac which is using Haswell. Wouldn't it be better to wait for the Broadwell version?
