I am hoping they make a version without a display as well so you just get the sensors. I already have a collection of watches that I already wear and am not going to wear two watches. Looking for a health band that does everything right.

Rumor on a rumor?

I didn't get a chance to read all of the replies, but isn't this a rumor (iTime/iWatch?) on a rumor (September 9)?

I'm sticking with the official Apple invitation, and the Cafeteria Lady (who makes the invitations in her secret office 8 stories below the cafeteria).

Well I hope we are on, but at what price?

Will not pay extra $100 for 5.5 iPhone, and I hope Apple understands that they will need to keep the price competitive with other larger phones.

When they first come of all 5.7 notes are also price at 299 (on contract) - so I would expect Apple to do the same.

Looks like it will be great launch - a lot of folks will walk out the store with an iphone and Iwatch $$$$$

All that's missing is a source other than Re/code. Maybe you didn't notice, but that's who the WSJ is citing as the source of this "confirmation."

Riiight. Was happy too quickly there. Still just one source then.

The more the same rumor is repeated, the more likely it is to be accurate. ;)

That's what I'm thinking as well. Lots of people seem to be against the iWatch name but it feels very Apple-like to me. I like it a lot.

The only Apple-like thing about that name is the "i" at the beginning. Otherwise, the name sucks.

Calling it right now.. It'll be called the "iBand". Way catchier sounding, and way less of a mouthful.

The iBand. Your wrist, improved.

This is exciting. There are so many things to say about this iWatch thing. For the sake of this post and to prevent it from being long paragraphs after paragraphs, I'll just use bullet points.

- I still can't wrap my mind around the concept of wearing a shiny "Apple" watch with a touchscreen on my wrist all day long. There's the risk of being depicted as 'cocky' , 'showing off' by some people who happen to see Apple products as social status provers. Then there's always the risk of theft. Besides; I don't wear watches, I mean at all. Don't know if I'l feel exactly comfortable with an iWatch although the health features seem to might get put to great use.
- Unlike the mobile phones, Apple will create a market for this wearable, very much like the iPad. This time it'll be much more difficult that the iPad because it probably won't be a standalone device, it'll be an accessory. That alone shrinks the potential market from the entire world to iPhone owners. So expecting something as major as iPhone or iPad could lead to disappointment. Besides, iPad was the gateway to 21st century and internet for many people over the age of 50. Again, iWatch will only be an accessory.
- However, someone above also stated that they think Apple will only dump their inventory of iPod Nano and maybe rebrand the whole iPod thing, that it won't be as big as computers etc. Think back to 2007, same thing could've easily been said for an alleged phone. (that it can't outgrow the mac and computers etc...) Look at where iPhone is today. So we can't say anything decisive at this point and I really want to get super excited and not to be let down.

I really want Apple to change the world with this wearable thing again but I don't know if the market is ready for a mass wearable device. Apple better create a massive need again for this device and revolutionise again. If this "kept secret for a long time" device and the first new product category in Tim's management turns out to be not so major and iPod like or a failure, Apple is not destined for good despite all its other super strong insane products.

And I want to hope that Tim and the crew work so agonisingly slow and are taking sure steps knowing this, making it come out when it's ready. Things are really exciting. Best time to be following Apple rumours in 5 years.

I only want the 5.5" model, maxed out, with a nice iWatch. However, I only have 20 dollars from savings :(
I don't think that it is going to be enough.

See "just sign here".

And if there is anything to this iWatch rumor, it might be just sign here twice. "Buy" the phone for near nothing on a long contract and "buy" the iWatch for near nothing on a long contract. AT&T, Verizon, etc subsidize the former, Medicare or Insurance companies subsidize the latter.

What's new about this?
People already wear Apple products.

Interesting that there have been so many iPhone 6 leaks, but not a single iWatch leak.

If it opens with the Rolling Stones singing "Time is on My Side", we'll know.

LOL! Wouldn't that be cool?! :)

I added a few more to my guesses

"It's time we share"
"It's all about time"
"It's about time"
"Watch this"
"It's time we show you"
"Spend a little time with us"
"It's about time we share"
"Watch out"
"Watch and learn"
"It's time we show you"

Didn't Samsung announce a phone and a watch that only worked together at an event two years ago?

Who is copying who now?
