builders put a pickaxe through my net last night

no atv !!!!

made me realise the virtues of backing up itunes movies to your hd

If I bought them on iTunes, and pay DirecTV how is that a good thing?

Well. Apple TV 4K costs $179 from most places. DIRECTV NOW has a promo where you pre-pay for 3 months of their services ($105 + tax) and you get the Apple TV 4K for free.

So, for $105, you can finally watch (in 4K) many of those iTunes movies you've already bought (I'm assuming you have a 4K TV). You can watch DIRECTV NOW during those 3 months you prepaid for, or not.

I call saving $70+ dollars a good thing.

Still won't get it. I have Netflix for series and I like to buy my movies via iTunes.
Well, nobody said you had to actually use it. Many just sign up to get a super-cheap ATV4K. If you're so determined to pay the regular price, knock yourself out. :p

I am thinking of getting my first Apple TV but I am unsure if it is worth it and which model to get. I watch Netflix on my iPad and would like to watch it on the TV. I also have purchased movies and tv shows on iTunes that I would also like to watch on the TV. Do you think I will use it enough? If I get one, which capacity should I get 32gb or 64gb?
Get 64 gb. Not much price difference. I always get the biggest available storage to avoid running out of space whenever needed.
