The biggest bummer BY FAR for me is that Siri on ATV4 is not available in Finland. In ANY language. Yet my iPhone's Siri has no problem speaking english and russian to me...

That's pure speculation. And it wouldn't have happened. It's not the time for it yet.
Thats pure speculation. It was the perfect time for it a year ago, no-one has figured it out yet. 3 years ago wasn't the right time for 4K tv's but sure enough they hit the market then, alas way overpriced... but it isn't the market that dictates the toys, its the availability of the toys that dictates the market. Read the thread about the iPod when it came out to prove my point.

Monday: Ordered 64gb model, €229, opted for standard shipping, estimated delivery 4-6 Nov
Tuesday: Time passed
Yesterday: Order status changed to Preparing for Dispatch and Express Delivery, estimated 3-5 Nov. That's nice.
Today: Shipped! DHL Express estimates delivery as tomorrow (Fri 30th) by close of business. Currently in East Midlands Airport, UK. Should be on the early morning flight to Dublin. Great!

My first Apple TV. There goes my weekend! :)

Not sure why anyone is interested in the streaming service. Based on the early descriptions, it didn't appear to be a good deal.

Price is not the only reason to want to be done with a comcastic company. I wouldn't mind at all paying a similar price to say, have a box that only shows the channels I get (as opposed to having to make a "favorites" list that I have to use every time I'm looking at a guide), or had a UI that looks significantly different then it did in the mid 90's (and actually made it appear designed for HD without upgrading to a crappy DVR for $18 a month), or that didn't randomly decide not to accept remote input just because it felt like it, no matter how well the box is cooled or replaced, or a variety of other reasons that make the above seem reasonable.

It's not just price.

Does anyone know - does this allow for multiple apple ids for different services? i.e. one ID for photos, a different one for apple music?

I have an Apple TV developer kit. For the App Store to show up you need to reinstall the GM build from the Developer Center, even though the GM build number is identical.

There are more apps on the App Store than I expected, but some notables are missing, including MLB and Amazon. Also, there is no way to Browse the store. There is just Featured and Search (with Trending searches). I couldn't find any type of category browsing with Top 100 type features... maybe I missed it? Made it very difficult to find some apps I wanted.

I found myself looking for a Skype app... and then I realized there was no way to attach a camera to the Apple TV. Bummer. It would be cool to have Back to the Future Part II style conversations.

Also, the store is already starting to fill with crap apps. Some of the Apple TV apps on the store at launch are garbage! Just like the iPhone...

Performance on some games is sluggish and decent on others. I downloaded Asphalt 8 and made was there a ton of stuttering! There was also a LARGE download that took 3+ minutes when launching the game for the first time. Very annoying.

Overall I'm kinda "meh" about it. Once I had most of the apps I like installed, it was just like the old Apple TV + some iPhone games.

The FIRST thing I felt was the feeling of "man I wish this thing came with a controller!" when I started playing with some of the games.

Same here, when I check the ATV for updates... nothing. I check the developer site and the build number is the same '13T396'. Guess, I'm going to have to be patient.
Just restore the software in iTunes, that's what did it for me. Downloading from the Dev Center gave me the build I already had, so I don't know what the deal was, but restoring through iTunes worked perfectly.

I also don't see anything on how to update? Nothing on the developer site or within Software Update
Restore via iTunes (NOT from the tvOS GM) and you should be good. Not sure why there's no public release in the Dev Center, but whatevs, it'll make its way there eventually.

I'm trying to get excited about this, but until I see some useful killer apps, or an innovative subscription service, I just can't.....

I'm just waiting for the developer community to optimize some emulators for this thing.

Yay! Just arrive half an hour ago!

Oh Yes. Its a USA 64 GB Apple TV, and it Shipped TODAY.
I ordered approx 10am PDT last Monday.
There is hope for all of you out there wanting to know if they were really shipping today. -MB

I'm curious to know why would one pay a plex subscription vs using the Apple home share feature which is free?
You pay to support Plex and you get early access to new features, and currently also the new Media Player that will replace Home Theater.

For the record the tvOS app will have a tvOS UI:

App is currently in review after having been rejected twice (for technical reasons, not because it is Plex).

I really want to upgrade - sick of Airplaying Amazon Prime to my ATV3 - however until i see confirmation that Amazon will actually launch such an app - im leaning towards the Fire TV. God what did i just say? :)

I don't think Amazon is smart enough to ever do an Apple TV app, but I hope I'm wrong. Regardless, they are inexpensive enough to just gut multiples. I'm able to get Amazon through my Tivo Roamio and Tivo Minis, so between that and Apple TV I'm pretty much covered for all I want to access.

Do we know the release date of plex pour ATV4 ?

First time poster, long time lurker, thought I would add this.

Apple stores in Australia are not selling the ATV4 even though it's Friday here.

No Melbourne stores have stock, George St Sydney apparently has stock but not selling.

Not a good launch.

Just got my notification showing delivery for Saturday 10/31.

Just got my notification, delivers 10/30. That means they're shipping out of the US this time, not China

How is a family member who paid for a game that support "universal pay" (or something like that) will be able to get his game running on the Apple TV if the latter is already logged in with the father Apple ID account? Logoff the father, login the child?

Should get min by nov 5. I can go to an Apple Store tomorrow and get one there too 'cause I can't wait to get it by UPS next week! :):D
