Any and all MFI certified controllers work with the Apple TV 4. I've been using my c.t.r.l.i with mine.

Can I ask a question if you are able to reply. Can third party apps use Siri for text entry i.e. say a word to populate a search box in an app? I'm thinking this would be a real asset for the likes of Plex.

Yes, movies and photos are stored in iCloud. Even during movie playback don't think parts of the stream are downloaded in flash memory, if there's any caching it will be in RAM... unless Apple is reservering a part of the flash storage for this kind of purpose ?

That is entirely possible.

A lot of people seem to think the local storage will be used to store multiple movies, act as a DVR, etc.. I don't think that is the case.

Just ordered a 64GB w/AC. Chose standard shipping. Shows 11/02-11/03 arrival (USA, Los Angeles area).

If they end up in store on 10/30, I'll just pick one up there and return this one. Looking forward to this one...Apple TV has been unchanged for too long!

just ordered 64GB with the Remote Loop. HKD 1,588 for 64GB and HKD98 for Remote Loop (32Gb was HKD 1,188 but why not future-proof for the cost of a round of drinks?)

Shipping 30th Oct - 3rd Nov....

Now comes the constant checking of shipping status!

Ordered the 64G model this morning. Expected arrival 10/30-11/3.

I think some are paying the extra $17 in shipping to get it a few days earlier. Funny thing is, you pay the extra and the estimated delivery is Oct 30 - Nov 3, so you might just get it one day earlier for $17 extra

I forgot to add the overnight shipping. I then chatted with a rep and they added it for only $12.

I guess I'm still bound by the NDA until Friday so I guess what I should say is, based on what we know only a limited number of apps, chosen by Apple can access Siri in any way. This should change in the future as it would seem Apple are eventually going to open up the API to all developers.

Get a Mac Mini with a big External HDD. Store all that stuff on there and use Home Sharing to put it up on the ATV. This is what I do, and it makes for fast instant access.

Yes. I got a refurbished 2012 mini aster the current model launched, upgraded to 16 GB ram and added an internal SSD. It is as fast as I will need for a long time. It doesn't do 4K but I don't have a 4K tv anyway.
