Apple TV 4 Pre-Order Thread

3 am preorder not happening not even apple page not down I think preorder 1 pm est

Last several years the iPad has not had a midnight launch and sells out every year.

Expect Apple TV to be the same.

Also and I may be wrong but the only device other than an iPhone to have a midnight release was the 2012 iMac. I don't even think the Apple Watch had a midnight release.

Edit:Apple watch did have midnight preorders evidently

It will probably be in stores tomorrow, and shipments will ship throughout the week for those who order online. That would be nice as I am making a trip to my Apple Store tomorrow anyway. At-least I hope it is available tomorrow, lol.

Tim said preorders will start tomorrow and they'll ship by the end of the week. That makes it sound like they won't be in stores until late next week or the following Monday. I would love for them to be in the Apple Store tomorrow though.

You can only use Apple Pay in-stores with Discover. Not sure why they aren't compatible for in-app purchases yet.

Pre-order it tommorow and once you get it take it to the Apple Store and have them re-ring it. That way you can have one as soon as possible, but can still get the 10%. Working at Best Buy, I do this at least twice a week for customers. Don't see why Apple wouldn't.

You can use Apple Pay in the Apple Store app. Just make sure you have the card you want to use setup in wallet.

apparently you cant use discover card for some reason. My guess is they dont want to make it too easy to get your 10% back?

I'll be ordering 64GB, naturally. If they offered 128GB I'd get that. Everything is faster with more cache, esp. given my Internet connection.

yeah, in app purchases with Discover are not supported at this time. Found that out last week. Shame on you Discover!!!

I've never bought Apple care on any of my Apple TV's. Never had a problem with any of them, I won't be buying apple care on this one either just to extend it another year. Unless it costs $20 or something.

I won't be buying Apple Care. I don't think its needed for Apple TV.

I'm a bit optimistic even though site hasn't gone down yet. I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that this is the first "new release" since they merged the online store and the Apple website into one unified site. Thoughts?
