Sorry for not memorizing all of a 77 page thread! :D Did we ever decide what it means when Apple says 'no signature' but FedEx has 'indirect signature' (which means anyone can sign, or we can leave a form). Seems just one more obstruction, if the sender doesn't care, WTF?

Chicago-ish. Ordered at about 8:00 am CT on Monday. Free shipping.
Hmm, I'm just around the lake from you, ordered about 9:10 (ET, so ten minutes later than you). Maybe it'll get here tomorrow.

I'm surprised at the level of anticipation on here (II shouldn't be). I was going nuts checking status for the watch, iPhones, and Macs in the past, this is more of a "it's about time" update.

I was planning to get 32GB, but when I was at the Apple Store at lunch, I decided to grab the 64GB version. I have a feeling I will have a lot of apps eventually and I would rather just get the one that has the most memory now. I had thought about just moving the 32GB into the bedroom if it filled up, but I would probably want a 64GB in there, too, if I was using it that much.

Yea I had exactly the same thought process, I thought about getting the 32 thinking it would get demoted if I want a 64 but I figured I'd be safe and go big to begin with, I can see you either really needing storage or needing practically none.

A friend of mine who is right near me ordered about 5 minutes after me and still hasn't gotten a shipping notification.

I think the carriers may want a signature if there have been stolen packages in your area.

Well, Friday is ticking away and still no shipping notice. At this rate, I'm not going to get on Monday. PFS since Tuesday, FedEx notified at 4:18am on the 29th and the thing still hasn't actually shipped. I think Tim Cook is holding mine in his office and laughing at all my posts because I'm a Bama fan.

Yeah, 'safe zone' here. I wonder if it's up to driver's discretion when it has 'indirect' and the shipper doesn't care? I'll put the form from the FedEx site (or make my own) on the door in any case, since that would mean no point in Sat delivery if it bounced!

Mine is the exact same as yours. Had a label since yesterday and nothing is moving. It is getting very frustrating.

Starting to think all UPS & Fed Ex tracking information is unreliable and that our Apple TV's can come at any time. In other words, back to the old days of just waiting until the UPS or FedEx truck comes to your door.

Doesn't bode well for the upcoming iPad Pro launch though.

Yes, my driver has left packages without an "indirect" signature. It is the driver responsibility, but the fewer signatures they need to obtain the quicker they can complete their route.

Got mine this morning

Posted this in another thread:

**PSA**

For those of you who chose free shipping and it is being handled by UPS.... UPS will require a signature even though Apple did not.
No they don't . They left mine at the front door. I'm still at work

Very glad I'm not doing an iPad Pro this time around. I did the waiting game for my Apple Watch and this Apple TV. (6s's I ordered from Verizon showed up surprisingly quickly!) My heart can't take more pain.

Hey everyone, I pre-ordered the new ATV4 on Monday @ 5:00AM PST /w expedited shipping and it's been showing preparing for shipment since Tuesday. I chat with apple 1 time and called them 3 times to complain. All the representatives told me that they cannot cancel my order since it's in a warehouse and waiting to ship. After a lot of complaining, I decided that I'm just going to deal with it.

About 10minutes after I got off the phone with the last rep, I checked my bank account and noticed that the pending charge from Apple has been removed and I never got charged. I placed another order for in-store pickup and it is ready now!

The pre-order is still in PFS....

Finally found one likes locally. Will return the, free shipping, ATV when it comes next week.
Coming from the older ATV (which I still have but moved it to another TV, I am very impressed with this new one. I bought the 64 gb model and am not bothered by the price increase. I believe that it's well worth the price of admission.
I had no expectations about the initial app offerings. I'm happy with the selection so far. I'm still getting used to is the mini trackpad. It does beat the control buttons on the old remote.
Needless to say I wiLl be returning the "late shipment" whenever it gets here ;)
Good job, Apple . . On the device not the delivery debacle.

Just got an email from UPS. My package (apple TV) is coming on Wednesday nov 4 and a signature is required. At least I know its coming. Wish it was earlier but not surprised since it is UPS.

Ordered Wednesday with Next Day before noon shipping. No shipment notification yet, still PFS on Apple, but Fedex is showing it now. Sadly, delivery estimate is for Monday. Could have saved $19 and just bought it in a local store today. Going to wait for it to come in though, don't want to deal with doing a return and being out an extra $150 over the weekend.

Still in the "preparing for shipment" phase for the last 3 days now. I chose standard shipping and was expecting Monday for delivery which would be good since I'm off from work. At this point I'm not expecting delivery by then and I might as well do an in store pickup from Apple either tonight or tomorrow.

I don't mind waiting but when I can easily pick one up in store, why wait for one to be shipped to me?

Quick update. What I was fearing is true, it's coming by truck, not plane since its in Concord, ON. So, Wednesday delivery would be accurate.

Apple not pulling any strings to get them delivered quicker....Unfortunately.
