Can Apple coordinate with the government and sanctions any nations with piracy sites? It's incredibly demoralizing to see thieves have access to quality Apple TV programming, without helping pay for it.
Paid so much extra for more ram and ssd, as if it were gold and diamonds, buying Mac that there is no way I'm not torrenting everything else theirs.

Reminds me a lot of the plastic welding seams on cheap kids pool toys. Those sharp edges that can cut in the lowest cost plastic.

Edit: Come to think of it, looking at the Zebra's right side ear, even the colouring Apple have chosen is "Pooltoy Plastic", guess that fits with "Liquid Glass"

It’s just a total mess.

It’s got an inner shadow, so we are led to believe visually that the apple logo is below the black surface area, but then for some reason, the Apple logo itself is bubbly and sticking up.

I can’t even guess what the aesthetic they are going for actually is.

This is just absolute amateur hour design work.

Literally the kind of stuff teenagers in their basement come up with their first time through with Photoshop

Why was there 3 different Apple TV blah blah blah in the first place?

We have Apple TV as the App, Apple TV+ as the streaming service and Apple TV set top box.

Wouldn’t it have made more sense just to have Apple TV as the 1 app streaming service? I mean Hulu doesn’t have a Hulu app plus a Hulu plus service. It’s just Hulu same thing with Netflix. Why was there two Apple TVs involved to begin with? It should’ve only been Apple TV as the app which is the streaming service and then Apple TV the set top box, plain and simple.

Uh oh. Don't bring that up to Louis Rossmann and the rest of his ilk. They won't like that at all. They think thievery and piracy trump everything.

The Apple TV hardware is good with a lot of possibilities seemingly yet to be tapped. The Apple TV app is somewhat confusing. Apple TV — the subscription service — does nothing for me. It was originally supposed to be a bundle of cable networks until Google beat them to it with YouTube TV.

Apple, Disney, Amazon, meta, alphabet, paramount skydance, Warner discovery, comcast, etc. have all become too big with all the mergers and constant need for growth over everything. The communication between departments and ability to quickly adjust anything is comical.

So many weird timing releases and half completed products. Announcing products without a release date or preordering. One department does something like raise prices at the complete wrong time, ie. disney+ right during the mass cancellations due to Jimmy Kimmel, so dumb just hold off a month. They’ve become too big to manage with traditional human CEO’s maybe AI CEO’s are what’s really next.

Remember Apple TV was announced as iTV, and changed name before release due to ITV (UK) lawsuit. I still have the very 1st one from 2007 in my pile of old tech. The remotes for all since the plastic white one to the current are all flawed. The startup video was so cool, they should have kept that, YouTube it. Then the take 2 version was cooler. Now I wonder how long it will take to switch the new logo and branding throughout the website…

I sometimes wonder what planet people are on when they’re having the conversations they say they’re having in threads like this.

This cracks me up so much.

It's like their whole "design" team just discovered Photoshop filters for the first time.

Time really is a flat circle.
Exactly. I’m very disappointed with Liquid Glass. It brings nothing new to the table except unnecessary distractions and ugly effects. And that rainbow-induced ATV logo looks like it was designed by an intern, which seems to be the case for most of their logos.

Didn't it get more confusing now though?
There's a paid subscription called Apple TV which you can access via an app called Apple TV, but maybe you'll have to buy a hardware box called Apple TV if your television doesn't offer it in its OS.

(Side note, Tim Cook insisting on calling every single product or service Apple XYZ makes the "i" branding of the Jobs 2-era seem downright acceptable.)
How is that confusing? To me, it’s no more confusing than using the Netflix app to access the paid subscription to Netflix, or Apple Music app to access the paid subscription to Apple Music.

I suppose having the hardware that does more than just this called the same thing might be a bit weird, as it retains its legacy name from before, but my guess is they’ll rebrand that at some point too.

Feel like the set top box/hardware will also get a rebranding with this change. This might also mean that new hardware is coming soon. Will take some time before the intro in each episode changes.

Following Apple's one-line announcement earlier today that Apple TV+ is being rebranded as simply Apple TV with a "vibrant new identity," the first hints of that vibrancy have appeared in the latest betas seeded shortly after.

The Apple TV app icons and other visuals across the latest releases like iOS 26.1 and tvOS 26.1 beta 3 have adopted a hint of glasslike multicolor, replacing the previous subdued gray theme.

The rebrand has also appeared on press pages for the Apple TV service, but it has not yet propagated to consumer-focused pages.

It remains to be seen whether there will be additional components to the rebranding beyond the name and logo changes, but if there are, we should be seeing them fairly soon.

SKEUMORFISM RETURNS. Apple TV plus will change name to Apple TV so the box has to change his name so you stop getting confused by same names. The box will be called Apple Home, so now you will confused with app Home.
