Have always wanted a large Apple watch and only want sapphire, but that price is a little hard to swallow. My last Apple watch suffered with a swollen battery within 3 years and pushed the screen off. Not worth fixing due to repair cost, so these watches don't have a long life, making them poor investments vs standard watches.
It’s because you are a normal person using logical reasoning instead a fanatic near mental state for a product made by Apple California assembled in China.

You just had bad luck.

I have an S2 (6 years old) that still works perfectly. It's been replaced by an S6 (2 years old) that I wear about 20+ hours a day. I use the S2 while the S6 is charging.

No battery issues at all.

The new Ultra is sorta like the Omega Ploprof. It’s so big and ugly and unnecessary that I kinda want it. May as well wear it on the outside of the sleeve like Gianni Agnelli. lol

Who would dive more than 36 hours. Use your thinking caps guys, you go skiing all day then get in your car and drive home.

Campers have solar USB chargers and other equipment.

I was referring to those video images they showed of hiking across deserts, camping for many nights of a mountain ascent, etc.

I’m not a scuba diver, so if this is genuinely a game-changer for scuba-diving, then that’s great.. go right ahead and buy it.

So ugly! So expensive!

The watch needs LESS buttons not more. ew.. This is not Steve Job's Apple, that's for sure
not true, while its disgusting as ****, we triathletes need more buttons to operate the watch in wet conditions so stuff like rotating bezel input etc are very welcome.

Cheaper than the 45mm S7, that is amazing. I will have to look at it in person though…

Do we know if this includes the crash detection as well?

I find it odd they pushed it on the other models, but not this one.

Edit: I'm stupid, the article mentions it at the bottom. But I don't remember it being referenced in the keynote.

I disagree. With the new button, it still has too few buttons to function well as a running watch. At a minimum you need two buttons for stop and split.

They couldn't name it worse 🤦‍♂️ And it seems like we'll never see a rounded Apple Watch.

So..he said "Up to $1000 off when you trade in Apple product."

So...guessing $1000 off if you trade in 1TB 13 ProMax. (just guessing)
I am pretty darn curious how much trade in for 256 13 PM.

I'm under no illusions that buying this watch will magically make me more adventurous lol. But damn, Apple's marketing is good.

I don't hate the design but I think I might wait a year or two and see the upgrades on the normal models. I use my AW mainly because of sports but the Nike version works just fine. I am not a hard-core explorer to take advantage of the new design. Either way, nice to see they are focusing more and more on sports and activities.
