If you're playing that game. The card-like multi-tasking interface is something MS stole from Palm which was stolen from Safari on iPhone OS. Everyone copies from each other.

I find it strange people are saying how bad certain things are before they have even seen it in operation or how well/bad it works. We can all say what we prefer or what we like, but all those who say they hate it will be upgrading or ripping the beta soon enough lol

Nice new features but the icon colour changes look horrid, looks like an Android clone now.

I really liked the natural/organic looking iOS icons, iOS7 looks like they have gone made with the neon colour palette!

I've been an Android user and I hated the experience. From what I've seen today Apple has borrowed some ideas from Android and I believe has done it better (and definitely prettier). Just because Android might have done something doesn't make it off limits to Apple doing and doing it better.

How ironic of you to say that.

"iPhone is too limited, it can't do what jailbreak/android/whatever can"

*Apple makes changes*

"Apple just coped things jailbreak/android/whatever already had"

I guess the only way for Apple to win is to invent a time machine and put all these features in iOS 1.

Oh wait, there's another way for Apple to succeed, and it's by ignoring internet crybabies while making stacks of money on good software and hardware.

This is swaying me back to the Apple-side. It's all a bit Feminine Hygiene at the moment, though.

That looks so cool!
Can't wait for my new iPhone 5s with iOS 7.

Game over, Android!

Really glad I can get my hand on this tonight as an iOS developer! I will post my views later tonight or tomorrow (GMT timezone)

When the developer site actually works and let's people on it!

Looks too windowsy/androidy

Absolutely agree - totally androidy. Everyone in the real world knows that Android is making a dent in Apple's marketshare except for the fanboys who refuse to admit it. But at least Apple management realizes it too and have begun the first step in adopting the best from competing platforms.

Love that they added AirDrop and I loved Craig's comment about going around the room and bumping your phones together...priceless.

Dear lord in heaven, someone who gets it......

I use both platforms daily and yet somehow I don't watch these keynotes (WWDC or I/O) and think "Man Apple already did that" or "Google already did that"......

Everything's been done - those REAL innovations, the things that are truly brand new don't come out very often.....when they do, they change the world - and the world can't handle that kind of change on a yearly or even 2-year "upgrade" basis.

Until there is something truly innovative, each company will try to achieve the most optimal and version of each feature currently available (and truthfully, there is only one optimal version of each feature). That means that given enough time (and with no new innovations to throw into the mix), each company's release will look more and more similar to everyone else's.

Overall almost everything I wanted from iOS7. Even small details like animated clock icon (finally!). Didn't notice if they animated the weather icon too (which would make sense).

I only hate a few of the new icons, but I'm sure I'll get used to them.

iOS7 was so polarizing we're all forgetting about the Anki's hella awkward presentation meltdown (and then awesome functionality display!)

I'm not to sure about this whole "transparent" design. Not a fan of the shadows at all

Shadows suck for readability. Everyone has this SciFi idea that someday we will have clear pieces of glass for tablets/computer interfaces. Can you imagine how annoying and distracting that would be?

It's not futuristic, it's utterly stupid from a usability point of view. I expect more from Ive's. Then again, maybe hardware designers should stick to hardware.

Ignore the obvious Troll comments

While I'm not a big fan of minimalism-style design that is currently in vogue everywhere, I like the look of iOS7. Actually I'm surprised with the amount of negative comments in regards to the look.

It'd be interesting to make a poll, that's for sure :p

It is absolutely nauseating to see so many people troll this topic. They cannot let us, Apple fans, enjoy a new software/hardware release without their need to stomp all over it. I have never gone to an Android site to say anything bad about a device I don't own or wish to own.

Has the whole Internet devolved to the lowest level of conversation? Where is common civility? Why is it always mine is better than yours, just like in Kindergarten?

Nobody asks you to comment if you do not own an Apple device or never intend to buy one. Your negative comments reinforce my affinity to Apple. Go troll somewhere else where the sun doesn't shine.

Arrogant enough? More like not awake enough.

It is easy to identify both the paid trolls and the nothing-better-to-do-trolls that show up at these opportunities.

Not saying you are either. Simply stating the facts. These are not the same people that post here regularly.

And it was not I that chose to bring up the length of the post as having some relevance to the content.

I agree there are trolls on both sides of aisle here. I am not saying you are either. I don't post here very often because the rumor front has been pretty quiet recently. I only brought up the post length because this is a forum and should spark discussion. A simple comment stating it is amazing and nothing more isn't very useful in a discussion forum. By adding a statement that anyone who doesn't agree with you is a troll is arrogant. Anyway I have strayed too far off topic here.

Back on topic, this is the most excited I have been about Apple in a while. With a new Mac Pro, a new OS update, a refreshed iOS, and competitive prices on the Macbook Airs this brings back memories of the strong keynotes of a few years ago. I hope they listen to the developer community over the next few months, I would be sad to see a repeat of the Maps issue where developers gave comments and the product was released without addressing the comments.
