I hate it.

It looks made by me and I am not a graphic designer. It looks like the cheap things clients always reject from me.

I may have luck looking for job at Apple it seems.

iOS 7 has so many features that I have wanted to see for a long time. Right off the bat, Control Center is great. I'm really glad to see Siri able to control settings. The new multitasking looks very nice. I'm also happy to see Notification Center get some improvements.

Overall, I am really impressed with what Apple has shown today. The UI is really clean and entices you to use the device. I can't wait to install it on my iPhone and iPad.

Wow, how did I know it would get this reaction?
"It's too bright"
"It's too flat."
"Apple is doomed."
"I liked Forstall's design better."

Everyone wants to bitch and moan because they hated the green felt and stitching. Well, here you go! Enjoy!

iOS 7 design is kind of just a mess. Somethings that jumped to mind-

-Why have the whole parallax background where it tracks motion? That isn't flat...it doesn't do anything, it gives no added functionality, and it wastes battery.

-Why the dots for cell signal level? Don't the bars convey more info intuitively without adding complexity? Bars getting taller = better signal, compared to a row of dots that could stand for anything.

-Why have lightning strikes or blowing clouds in the weather app? (I like these BTW, but is it flat?) these are like the complete opposite of necessary.

-New app switcher displays previews on horizontal carousal while the safari tabs are vertical....on the taller phone I guess vertical makes more sense, but why the difference?

-I know Sir Jony loves his transparency, but that's one aspect of flat design I would have rather had...I don't need to see blurry app icons behind my calendar for godsakes.

-The Video icon kept the dumb blue coloring below the black and white clapboard...

-Why does Game Center get represented by pastel bubbles????

Some of the additions are nice, but from a design perspective it looks really unrefined and confused.

Right? I'm sure tomorrow people on this forum will be saying fire Ive and bring back the glory days of Forstall.

It's the Internet. People like to be contrary; that's what the Internet is for, I suppose.

Just take comfort in the fact that Apple knows more about what all their customers what more then some random people on a message board.

I agree with that but I want these features built in...

Yep.. And if people don't like it, their gonna JB..

I can't even believing Apple is still hanging on "tooth and nail" by their agreement...

Just let people do what they want,,, They'r gonna anyway.... And enforcing something like agreements isn't gonna help...

The old saying of "It only helps the casual user" no longer applies, because they can just Google it,,, and its JB :)

You gotta smile though when you try and see companies like Apple clinch to something, particularly when its already legal in the States.

Its like saying Maybie we should offer Apple a medal for trying at least to something they will never control.

Control Center - the one thing that'll get me to upgrade on day one. I've only just put iOS6 on my iPad and won't be putting it on my iPhone, but I'll happily take this when it comes. Without jailbreaking, it takes far too many clicks to turn on/off wifi etc., but now it's just two. Thanks Apple.

Ignore facts if you wish but it's true. Android was marketed toward cheap phones to get Google onto as many devices as possible.

People, other then nerds on the Internet, don't really care what Android does or is.

That must be why the Galaxy Class - the one that sells for the same as the iPhone is doing so poorly and no one wants it. Because clearly those that can afford the iPhone or the S3 or now the S4 are choosing Android because they don't like Android

Same thing with those that are buying the HTC one. Clearly they like cheap phones with a sub-Apple experience.

Again - you can not like Android. But to impress the opinion that those that the only reason people choose android is because they like cheap phones and/or no one "likes" Android is just plain ridiculous.

Okay, I'm halfway delirious, what from being up for over 30 hours straight, and having spent a goodly portion of that time busting my ass in horrid conditions...

...but from what I've read of iOS7, I'd say it's got about 95% of everything I wanted. I think my only disappointment is that we're still unable to change default apps, but I can...eh...live with that. At least we have much better multitasking and a true and proper control center now.

Samsung just sent you an email stating you're fired...

i hate people.

People say they want apple to do something more, something different. People want Apple to take hints or concepts from the Jailbreak community.

People then mock, gasp and bellow in anger when Apple actually do just that.

People. I hate them.

Obviously not everyone will agree. You can't please everybody...

Hubba hubba, gimme. Seriously impressed, give Ive another knighthood or two: Sir Sir Sir Jony Ive. He delivered and then some!

I fail to see what's radically different about the UI. I'm glad to see skeomorphism gone, and it's not surprising after Forstall's ouster, but it's the same-old only flat, matte, and pastel.

So who's gonna pay the 100$ for developer just to get ios7 earlier?

I tried to update my developer status from free (expired Mac OS developer) to iOS developer but the Developer portal is currently down for maintenance.

So the OS as a whole looks very elegant however a few icons and buttons are a miss for sure. Some of the buttons are not straight forward and unlabeled and some of those icons are... hideous. Simple and clean designs don't have to be bland. Why does safari have to be so ugly?

And side note... Siri uses BING?? Wow apple, impressive choice to get away from google and a failure indeed.

Got it!

Not as bad when you put your own wallpaper on there :D

We get it, you hate Apple....

Looks cheap. And I'll miss the yellow notepad. Nothing distinguishes the context of a notepad from a formal manuscript like a yellow background.

I'll have to admit that I like the new features in IOS. No real reason for me to jailbreak now the you can put the notification list in the lock screen. I jailbroke mainly for Intelliscreenx.

Having said that, I'm not a fan of the color scheme. They need to get a German to design the interface. :) How about just black, grey, and white. Leave the color for the apps.

The real innovation here is the 12 hour battery life of the MBA.

Yup. Android is the Ford/Chevy of cars (mass production and cost over taste and design).

Apple is the German import (taste and design over mass production and cost).
