The pictures really made the UI look terrible at first but after watching the introductory video it looks like it might be pretty sweet!

I don't know if I should wait and see what iOS7 will be when released, or just get an Android phone at the end if the month when I'm eligible to upgrade.

These new changes look good, but if the iPhone screen doesn't get larger, then it's a no go for me.
Sigh, too many "if Apple doesn't do what [Android phone x] does then I'm switching"

No matter what happens at an Apple event, people will love it. People will hate it. And Steve Jobs disapproval will some how be brought into the mix.

I love it - in fact, today's Keynote has rekindled my love for all things Apple...a great Mac Pro, stunning iOS7, great OS X improvements and cool iRadio.

By the way, Craig was in fine shape today; what an awesome performance..!

MS IS DEAD. AND SO IS ANDROID.

It's a nice update on iOS7 and Mac Pro which was very impressive, but I'm going to wait and see how things unfold.

So I have to OBJECT to your SUBJECTIVE butt-kissing of Apple's presentation today stating MS and Android is dead.

MS and Android is far from dead. You're an attorney, aren't you?

Be objective, not subjective.

I for one refuse to update to iOS7. It's extremely ugly and designed by a 8 year old girl who loves to play candyland. Flat, square, and white design is completely unattractive. It's a no go for me. As someone who had an iPhone since the beginning the S4 is looking good or I may just keep iOS6.

"Store will now update apps automatically, doing away with manual updates."

Sounds very annoying; I like to read what updates will do and leave them a while before updating. There are always issues with updates it seems as they are never tested thoroughly enough, probably due to the complexity.

You can disable it. It's in the store settings menu.

Ive tried the beta and the all-text design is actually really hard to use. You don't know whats a button and whats a label. Adding a new contact is particularly bad.

Maps makes you want to vomit.

That's what I was afraid of. It already starts with the lock screen: it is still the same gesture (swiping from left to right) but the UI does not make it obvious like the previous version, because there is only text and no slider anymore. What I've seen on numerous screenshots is that iOS 7 does this on a much larger scale, e.g. the 'send' button in Messages is just text, same goes for the Contacts app (no 'edit' button). It is worse than I actually thought, very disappointing.

i keep hearing that yet no one here has been able to explain why it's all of a sudden better.. and please no more "ecosystem" this and that.. i use mainly mac computers and i never have any issues syncing my android phone with them.

Yes I have an Android phone now and I can synch - but usually by installing third party apps on my Mac. However, the automatic synching between all of your apple devices in the background - including purchased apps and content - is worthy of note.

The point is - all of the major advantages that people pointed out with the Android platform has been addressed in these updates. Additionally - it will work back to the desktop platform.

Now I am still holding final judgement overall until I see what has been updated in iWork later this year - but the web based versions demonstrated today were impressive and if tightly linked with the client versions of iWork - will be well received. For example - if you look at the Android versions of Drive - they have less features than the browser version. In contrast - the iOS versions of iWork now are much closer to the features provided by the client software.

I also saw more features demonstrated with Siri than I can do now with my google voice. So again - I think Apple recognized where they were lacking to Android in iOS6 and addressed them without giving up their existing strong points.

Scott????

I like the look, but the OCD in me can't get past the fact they reversed the gradient in Mail vs. App Store/Weather/Safari. Kinda annoying.

Ive noticed that every single photo and video of an iphone with ios 7 is a white iphone.

I wonder how it will look on a black iphone. I feel like it will look really odd since everything is bright and colourful and white. it will be a weird contrast.

Would you look at that. Drop down toggles. I remember people telling me that I should g t f o and go to android because iOS doesn't need anything like this. In extremely happy with this update. iOS is finally got almost everything I enjoy on Android. Bravo team. Sounds like you are listening to your power users!!!!

Ok, the camera app looks like cheap junk from Android, and the icons look absolutely disgusting, but the new features are exciting.
