I can totally speak from experience. Playing music through Bluetooth in my car sounds like **** when compared to directly playing the audio files on the player itself.

The only thing that I want going over Bluetooth is speech.

Well that sucks, the Bluetooth in my car actually sounds pretty good. I would say its definitely better than 62kbs that SiriusXM has and very, very few people complain about that. I'm guess none of the people complaining about the bluetooth quality have SiriusXM Radio.

You may be content with corporations giving you the option to either pay more for the same product or not purchase it at all, but I at least have the "courage" to complain when I feel I'm being taken advantage of.

Nah, that's not courage at all. That's just yada yada complaining like many engage in here everyday. Way too easy to be considered courage - there are no potential adverse consequences from your actions.

REAL courageousness is standing up against being one of the stupid consumers accepting the price increase you spoke of earlier, and instead taking a chance by buying a phone from a different manufacturer. That has potential consequences.

What is the problem?

They are providing you an adapter free of charge. And they're moving into the fully digital world.

To me it sounds like a win-win.
I bet when apple remove the camera on the iphone 9 this dude will have no issue at all..............

(haven't checked to see if others have replied) They're almost gone in the US. On my plan, I can still get subsidized phones, but they are much more expensive for the monthly charge for the line. I had to upgrade my (AT&T) plan to get the new pricing, though.
My Verizon bill has gone down as a result.

In my experience specifically, with the old two-year contract at the end of two years the price for the line didn't drop. When I switched to a plan with unsubsidized phones, the price immediately dropped significantly, and if I opted to purchase a phone from AT&T on one of their payment plans, that plan ends when the payments are over. More transparent, better.

I understand. My plans haven't decreased in years whether I was in contract or not. None of the cost in my plan covers "phone" costs, just talk, text, and data.

Now if I were to go to the installment plan, it would add that installment price to my monthly bringing it well over $100. But that's simple math so no heartburn there.

It's cool though, I enjoyed it while I could.

I don't understand the upgrade program. It costs £33.45/m here in the UK and it says that's based on £718 over 20 months 0% p.a. But the iPhone 7 costs £599. Where are they getting £718 from? It says 0% p.a so is it possible the punishment for paying in instalments is an inflated price?
It includes AppleCare which cost £119

I have to say, moving away from the analog to digital is a gamble Apple is taking. Long gone are the days that Apple catered their products to what their customers wanted and more into borderline shoving it down our throats.

They're reasoning behind the removal of the 3.5 jack was abysmal at best, so as a pardon they've included an adapter free of charge. You win some / you lose some.

Free of charge? Lol. kind of like that extra 16 gig now in the cheapest iPhone 7

I don't get what's wrong with people on this site today. New toys we've been waiting for an entire year. One guy asks a few questions and he gets killed. Looks like Engadget

I can understand people hating the phone, I really can (especially when Apple takes away our ports, lol). I just don't get all the comments on other people's finances. I guess some don't understand that being on a budget doesn't mean you are poor. Being on a budget is actually the most proven way to get rich and stay rich.

You do know that the concept of "Jet Black" is a matte finish, apparently Apple doesn't.

You do know that you're absolutely, completely wrong, right? Jet means the absolute darkest black possible. It gets its name from the mineral, Jet...which is used to make glossy, very black, jewelry.

People who don't want or like the new iPhone just make it that much better for me, THANK YOU!

From the photos, it doesn't look like you can charge while listening to headphones. If true, that's a pretty huge downside.

To me it looks like the only downside. However, for me, it isn't a huge deal as I rarely use my headphones while charging. That said, hopefully someone will make an adapter that allows for both.

Those would be consumers of Apple products that you are speaking of.

For what they pay, they should feel pretty darn entitled.
Not for announcements they shouldn't. Apple can make whatever they want to make, whenever they want. Consumers should only feel entitled with products they've purchased. Otherwise, vote with your wallet and go with a Korean handset or something.

Some people plug their phone into their car stereo and charge it at the same time. Or into a home stereo and charge. Or on an airplane and into a power bank. You ever think about that genius?! Bluetooth connection is not as clear. Its not even close. The point is, now you have to buy more dongles and adapters. This "screw the customer, we want more money" attitude is the real and only reason they removed the hp jack. Go ahead and make excuses for them though. Apple loves its brainwashed customers.
They're including an adapter in the box. HOW DARE THEY!!! It's like they hate their customers or something (or something...I'm not really following your logic).

I plug my phone into my car stereo already, using the USB connector. It plays while it charges, and even shows me what song it's currently playing.

For some people the included adapter won't be the adapter they want or need for their peculiar situations. There will be other adapters available to help

I am getting so fed up with the Apple hypobole and lack of real innovation. Today was so underwhelming. Anyone else considering jumping ship to Android?

No, Samsung is having battery issues. Today was a good day. At the end of the day it's still just a phone. The AirPods are pretty cool.

Since you haven't seen it yet, how can you possibly know this? Give me a break, dude.

Some people only look at the resolution of the display to reason about display quality. Even if it were the brightest, widest-color-gamut screen with a never seen before contrast ratio they would still say it's bad.

I have actually heard people saying that the iPhone 6S display is a 'low range screen just like the ones in 200$ Android phones'.

There is probably a very good reason for that. The 32G chips are now cheaper than 16g chips because of supply and demand.
