Is the front earpiece/speaker grill in fact slightly longer? Won't be able to use screen protector I had for 6S after all.

From the photos, it doesn't look like you can charge while listening to headphones. If true, that's a pretty huge downside. The only option would be to spend more money on wireless headphones of some kind.

That's not huge. It's tiny actually, because you're talking about connecting your head to a wall for extended periods of time. How often do you think people will really want to do this?

You're buying an expensive mobile device (with the best battery life yet for an iPhone) but, oh no, you don't want to spend a few bucks on wireless headphones to avoid routinely connecting your head to a wall???

Also, if that's really what you want to do, you'll be able to buy a pass-through adapter that will allow you to charge and listen to wired headphones at the same time.

This has to be the worst argument for keeping the old headphone jack.

I don't think I've seen an Apple event with an audience as quiet as this one was. Cook and company were showing off "amazing" features and they were dead silent. For a while, I thought they were giving the keynote to an empty auditorium.

I cant help but feel that the most significant new features are the camera on the Plus model and more storage. A nice upgrade overall, but I hope that next year we won't see a 7s but iPhone 8 with new design :)

Definitely downhill a little - lost the focus on design, i mean seriously that camera bump is completely not good design

Yea I do like the new phone but I hate that camera bump! Well I can deal. But I do look forward to the day it is gone. Not a deal break or anything for me personally.

The adapter is massive and will no doubt not fit in your pocket unless sticking out the top.
What? Massive? Its tiny, if you have place for your earbuds with cords in your pocket you surely have space for the adapter, the adapter is so small that it is basically just an extension of the cords, you say you cant fit a 1.5 inc longer cord in your pocket?

I can objectively say that this is a okay upgrade. For someone looking for a new iPhone this year, I don't think they'll be disappointed. But for me, someone that has been eyeing some Android handsets, it isn't enough to entice me to buy. I'm looking forward to seeing Google's Nexus (Pixel) offerings later this year. Google has been doing some really cool things with software lately that I'm pretty jazzed about. We'll see how things look between Apple and the other manufacturers by November of this year. I'm not fueling the Apple hate train, but does anyone else agree?

But I've been down the Android Mistake before and not again. It is that bad, kind of like Windows

What an odd world view you have. I have been using Macs at work since before OS X and have had Windows based computers both at work and home simultaneously all the time. I have no problem using any of them, they both do what I want them to.

I am amazed at the limited skill set lots of people seem to have when it comes to using two or more slightly different systems - the similarities, both on mobile and desktop/portable are gigantic compared to the differences these days.

I was expecting so little and surprised by so much. The machining on the 7 is beautiful, and the dual camera on the iPhone 7 is really a ground breaking upgrade. I am a photographer, and Apple is right in not chasing pixels. It's the quality and sensitivity of the pixels that is far more important. And finally with the water resistance. The complaints about an analog headphone port are pretty funny IMO. So many of us worry about using our wired headphones AND being able to charge simultaneously- not. People still miss built-in optical drives in laptops I guess too. But their headphones - Airpods - are awesome. Being able to recharge within the case is brilliant. Ease of pairing is awesome. And GPS waterproof watch - yes!

I can see an SNL skit of somebody taking some standard Earpods, snipping the ends off with a pair of scissors, and walking around with them to impress people. These aren't exactly the best looking product Apple has ever created and look a little bit dorky. :p
