Loving it all, however, if I had to pick 1 aspect to say I was just a little disappointed with, it's the only 2x second camera.
If you are going to build a camera with a fixed zoom as an option, personally I wish they had gone for more than 2x Perhaps 4x, then use the same tools for the nice effects etc.

For any normal holiday shots only 2x, which in itself is only around a standard, non wide angle lens in real camera terms isn't that great before you have to start losing detail with software zooming.

That's my only real could of been better.
Other than that, great :)

The Jet black version looks stunning :D

some of us had the old plans where they were subsidized. $299 based on a 2-year contract.
It wasn't subsidised. That same plan suddenly became $25/month cheaper when they split out the phone. You could upgrade after 18 months because 18 x $25 + $299 = $749, oh look the cost of the phone!

WHAT IF there will be no new macs... ever again...

The reality is that as of 2016, the phones, pads and watches are where the money is made.

There was a reason that Apple dropped "computer" from its name in 2009. Steve himself said in 1997 that the Mac would be milked for all that was worth until they found the next big thing.

It looks okay, but doesn't offer anything compelling enough for me to upgrade from my 6S. This is an easy pass for me. Looking forward to next year's phone which should offer more substantial improvements. Especially in the the display department.

£819 for what I want. Ouch. Ah well, might as well damage my bank account further and buy the Apple Watch Series 2 as well :)

It had to happen sometime. I'd say courage is accurate.

Many people, myself included, will wait until next year to upgrade for two reasons. One, anniversary iPhone is said to be a brand new design and/or bigger speed bump. Two, aftermarket products will catch up to the new reality of the headphone jack being removed.

By the way, I love how they kept referring to the standard headphone jack as outdated, old analog technology. Yesterday it was still the latest and greatest and ALL apple headphone products used it, even the rechargeable ones. Strong marketing push. They must be well aware of the general criticism.

Ultimately you are correct. It had to happen eventually. Apple tends to push the timing a little.

The whole lead up convinced me this iPhone wouldn't interest me but then they explain it and I want it. Lack of headphone jack doesn't bother me even though I was outraged at the thought of it.

The 4 core A10 is what interests me most. I think this is the year to get a 7 and then with the next generation get a Plus model. The secondary camera still feels gimmicky to me and I've always been happiest with iPhones because they weren't huge.

Other companies have made great strides but no one else does things at the level Apple does. It amazes me that they continue to amaze me.
