Why did it have to happen someday? There is no benefit to getting rid of the headphone jack unlike getting rid of floppy disks or CD drives.
Does this mean the price of my plan will go down?
And double the cameras... And double the performance...and....and...some people just aren't happy unless they can complain about something.

Huh? Just leave it attached to your headphones, it will hardly be a space liability that way.
Guess i'll get the 256gb iphone 7 plus jet black. The watch was really disappointing..no reason to upgrade there. Can't stop laughing at the air pods. They look really stupid.
Jet black is the shiny black that doesn't look like cheap spray finish like the others.
Lots of hyperbole and time will tell on the audio jack.
But I've been down the Android Mistake before and not again. It is that bad, kind of like Windows, checks the geek boxes but does nothing well.
YMMV as here in the states, carriers offer similar plans. One advantage of Apple's plan is that it includes AppleCare plus which is convenient if you normally purchased that option (the price is prorated over 24 months and included in the payments). Another advantage is that you're not tied to a single carrier.
Definitely downhill a little - lost the focus on design, i mean seriously that camera bump is completely not good design

Audio is and always will be a analog signal, no getting around this.
And on the note of "free of charge", what happens when you loose your adapter (which, a ton of people will) that comes free?
There is a reason the headphone jack has been a standard for so long, its because it makes sense practically audio speaking, removing it is an inconvenience and there is no getting around that.
Yeah, at least they provide the adaptor and the adaptor isn't too obtrusive... my Bose will live to play another day.

Besides hating dongles, it's just a major drop in function.
I'd say I charge my current phone while listening via headphones once or twice a week, and pretty much every time I fly. Can't do that when the plug to charge the phone is filled by my earphones.
