I have to buy a new laptop, after watching the presentation I'm bummed out. Maybe it's time to go back to the dark side for a bit.

Have they had a one on one with designers. The touch bar, definitely won't replace my wacom tablet. Besides, using the touch bar takes you away from the screen, where the magic happens. Should have provided a laptop with touch screen.
To be honest, the prices seem ridiculous.

I think the worst thing about the touch bar is that: you'll need to remember (for every individual software) what functions will appear on the touch bar and where, and what functions still need keyboard/mouse/etc. You'll get confused very fast.

Then the second worst thing is you'll have to switch back and forth constantly between the tiny bar and the screen. Talk about your eyesight...

8Gb as standard on premium hardware is, in a word, pathetic! The sum needed to bring it up to running anything more challenging than Word is pure scalping, plain and simple. Bought in protest as I need a new machine and I am not yet ready to switch to Windows, but I'm headed in that direction.

A Headphone Jack...Serioiusly what's the point...and a 720p FaceTime Camera

:apple: is just ****ing with us at this point

Way overpriced! Lately, it seems like Apple is attempting to cover up slowing sales by raising prices..

Super disappointed.
I think you need only look to Intel to realize they are the reason that prices for both Macs and other laptops are skyrocketing, especially at the higher-end.

But that Tool Bar wasn't exactly as cheap as another row of keyswitches, either, and nobody seems to be taking that into account.

Of course! The focus should be on the keyboard... or just slightly above the keyboard.. Maybe between the bottom of the screen and the top of the keyboard... Bright lights, animations etc... That'll be handy.. Especially if it replicates what is on the screen..

Apple ran out of courage after removing the headphone jack from the iPhone. Didn't have enough courage left over to continue on the path they forced all their biggest fans onto.

I've said it before... "How the hell do you call a computer "Pro" when you're limited to 16GB of RAM and a low-end video card?

And before a fanboy starts to argue...

This added to the lack of any updates/announcements of any desktop models makes for an infuriating event, IMO.

It's ironic. Apple used to make fantastic hardware that ran a rather crummy, under-powered OS. Then OS X was released, and it was great. But now we have a fantastic OS, but crummy under-powered hardware.

LOL. Intel is absolutely not to blame for the prices of these Macs.

Wow. I have been sitting on a pile of money, waiting for the announcement of the new MBP so I could buy one. Now I'm looking to see if I can find a good deal on the last generation, because this one is so incredibly underwhelming and disappointing. I don't give a **** about the touch bar. I don't know why I would ever give a **** about the touch bar. I want a computer with actual modern specs, but it's literally at the point now where I'd still be paying over $5000 AUD to get a new MBP that matches the RAM and HD of my maxed-out 2011 MBP. That's not just disappointing, that's ****ing shameful. Maybe Apple should stop worrying about shaving every single gram off of their laptops and start worrying about bringing performance up or price down; this generation of MBPs are just absolutely indefensible.

I'm calling it now. Touch Bar seems to be the least great feature ever on a Macbook.

You have a big, retina display and a 2x larger trackpad but now just use this tiny screen on the top of the keyboard.

Who uses a trackpad or mouse, ugh.
A mini iPad strip to justify the huge price increase and then to justify keeping the refurb Mac prices the same.
Remember when Steve used to announce great new features and then wow us by keeping the entry prices the same?
Guess the new Apple campus is running way over budget.
