Price realignment as expected if Apple have given us 128gb for £499 in the U.K., £599 for 256 (50 off) and the new 512 tier is 799.Here's hoping for a base iPad 11th generation with 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM, and A17 Pro for US$349. I'm not optimistic though.
Mind you, I'd be perfectly happy if it's 128 GB storage, 6 GB RAM, and A16 Bionic, at least if it launched soon, since Apple Intelligence isn't high upon my wanted features list (yet) for such a product.
BTW, the 256 GB tier of the iPad mini has dropped in price. For 6th gen it was $649. Now for the A17 Pro model, it's $599.
Also, at BestBuy.com you can get the 64 GB 6th gen for $399 now. That might be a decent option for some of you here.
Remember an 11” m2 iPad Air costs an extra £100 at the same storage tiers. In the U.K. the mini is a bad value if weight and portability is very important.
A 6th gen iPad mini on clearance might be vaguely interesting but that mini used to retail at £399 or thereabouts prior to the exchange rate hike a couple years ago.
I’d say that launching a product, even a basic iPad, that is incapable of accessing a key iOS feature is a mistake now, surely A17 pro will be going in every suitable low end product for the next few months.
