Omg...this forum was named wrong. Please name it: Anti-Apple forum...because nowadays every topic is full of haters and complains.

Stop whining so much ...Jesus...Is just a red phone. it's not a big deal anyway.

No, it's not a red phone. It's a Product (Red) phone. They are using the death of over a million people a year to promote the illusion of activism via cause branding. I thought this fad went away with the iPod, but I am sure that one person from 2014 will appreciate that it matches their SQUA(RED) Reader.

If they wanted to reinvolve themselves in this they would make their next iPhone exclusively a Product (Red) for the first few months to maximize donations. Make the Red more compelling by giving it exclusive access to new tech and donating the early adopter tax. That won't happen because social good isn't the point of this. Apple is trying to reinvigorate sales of an old product instead of actually helping people in need.

Why are you here then? I've read all the posts and TBH, I don't see much whining. I see people sharing their opinions about the new color red. Some like it, some don't. Some are disappointed no new hardware.

If you can't handle the opinions, read the article and move along...

No, not anti-Apple at all. In fact, the day you no longer find complaints, it will be the day when Apple completely lost the Mac user base, because 90% of complaints come from Mac users, tired of the utterly boredom of an iOS-centered universe. If at least there was a new iPhone with a serious design, complaints would be much limited. But the only serious-looking design here is the iPhone SE.

I would also love to see an emerald iPhone. They could do all the precious stones, Although Ruby would clash with this new colour.

Most of all, I want to see the interesting case colours with a black bezel.

So, I wonder how many people use their iPhone naked vs putting it in some sort of case? With so much thought and talk about the aluminum case color, it makes me think more people than I would have thought run naked. Once you put a protective case on, the back color doesn't matter. What would matter more is the bezel color. But I don't think Apple cares about what the front looks like. They think everyone stares at the back? When iOS 10 came out that "bug" that allowed an entirely black home screen w/transparent folders looked fantastic with a black iPhone. The next update, the "bug" was gone and now my home screen looks like everyone else's.

I literally got this red otterbox symmetry case 3 days ago. It was actually the cheapest color at $16 vs $26 for the black one. Go figure.

Exactly, it's not a big deal. That's why everybody is complaining. We expect more from Apple, that's why we're fans.

But Apple has become a lazy company releasing half-assed products. We complain because we care. We do want a new Mac mini and Mac Pro, we want that beautiful standalone screen back, we want iCloud to "just work" and be updated regularly with innovative features that make the ecosystem come together, iWork to be more than an afterthought and so on...

It used to be a joy to use Apple products because of countless little details. But no more. They're innovating at a snails pace causing them to fall behind the competition. But they did manage to raise prices, release more dongles than ever and focus on watch bands, music deals and other nonsense.

For instance: why haven't they released new iOS features for that new iPad today to make it more than a glorified Youtube screen? I have an iPad Air 1, and see no reason to ever upgrade.

They will definitely not conquer the post-PC era with this lineup.

The back looks fine. Most people simply use a case though, so unless you used a transparent case, only you would know.

And I do wish that they had the black bezels. The white front always gave the phone a cheaper look to it. It looks too disjointed from the screen.

White front = no sale.

Why, Apple??
It looks like a red cousin to the blue Pixel because of the white front.

If it had a black front it would look more unique, though it would be similar to my red HTC 10, then. But really, how many people would even know a red HtC 10 even exists? Everyone things I have a red case on an iPhone.

god dam it. I just bought the 7 plus in december...had i known a red one was coming out i would have waited..the 8 better have this option on day one!
I got a black iPhone for Christmas. I can't say I would have preferred to get this because this has white bezels and I like the black bezels better for red and black and other bold colors.

OMG they were just too lamented to kill one or another feature
Has it Wifi that just works ?

Not sure I understand releasing this so far in the product lifecycle. Yes, it may spark up a little interest from those not yet upgraded to the 7/7+, but many are waiting a few more months for the next big release...

Why wasn't this an option from the get-go?

The anodized red is very, very good looking. I might be tempted if not for the fact that I would be compelled to put a case on it as soon as I got it. A red case, but still.
