Apple Updating Some iPhone X Orders With Improved Delivery Dates

Ordered the iPhone X at 3am on release night and the server timed out with Citizens Bank after placing the order through my iPhone upgrade plan... was scheduled for Nov 3 release date pick up. The order never fully went through and I got an email telling me to reorder and hopefully I would get it in mid to late Dec.
I was pissed to say the least but the point is to upgrade otherwise I would be on a conventional plan. So I ordered it. Fast forward to 7pm(ish)and I get a call from a Texas #. I answered thinking it was a spam call but they rarely call from TX. It was Apple who was very apologetic and is now sending me a phone on the release date(not free lol) The CSR told me this happened to some people and they were trying to make it right. I was surprised because I am just 1 of a however many who ordered this phone and would have been easy to shrug off. I appreciate good customer service.

Yes, though apple of recent has been delivering iPhone earlier than stated. In the past the date given to the customer was often correct. Out of the 6 , 7 and X, the the X was the only one I got for release date, and I was online 5 min before preorder each time.
Let's see how it plays out

Same here ... received the exact same email ... I was all set for store pick at 8am on 3rd. Got an email 4 hrs later that , there were issues, please re order. It was already 5 - 6 weeks.
Filled in the exact same details and it went thru smoothly now. Replied back to that email as well with the order no. Hoping they send it before dec.

Same, 0809 for me. That said, I expected it to be post Xmas so a mere few weeks is nothing in comparison.

Brilliant, I ordered a leather case about 17 minutes after haven my confirmation email and the second authorisation processed on my PayPal last night which normally happens, and today it has changed to preparing for shipment so will keep note on transaction data!
Awesome ..... Exact same thing with me .... no call though just email ... it said check back on your delivery date after 3 days ... hoping the same outcome as yours 🙂
I order mine from Verizon’s business site. I wasn’t able to get it to load until 4am (one hour after launch). They gave me a delivery date of “by 11/15”. I wonder if that means I could possibly get it before that date.

256GB Silver UK here via Apple Store app with confirmation email at 08:07 and stuck at "Order in Progress" for 13-20 Nov. Not seen any posts of UK orders being bumped up, still [optimistically] hoping it gets brought forward in the coming days as has happened to some lucky folks in years gone by.

Count me in: T-Mo, order completed at 3:08 AM, original date 10th-17th. Now launch day. I’ll take it.
I have yet to see a T-Mo confirmation of launch day delivery on the initial order. Retrospectively thinking that something may have been “off” about those initial dates.

My ATT order was bumped up to the 3rd. I ordered a t mobile one as well it’s at 17- 24th. Paid in full for both, but was Happ to see the ATT move up last eve.

I'm curious if they will release the numbers on Monday. Shareholders will want to know how this quarter is going to go!
I got up at 3am like a lot of people and ordered one. It wasn't fun and I was tired at work the next day. I did this because they made it seem like the supplies were so constrained, that if you didn't order at that time, you wouldn't get one till 2018. Well, seeing that shipping times are only 5-6 weeks a day later, that is clearly not the case. There just isn't demand there for a $1,000 phone, especially considering the Samsung S8 is around $700. I will still enjoy the phone since I'm coming from a 3 year old iPhone 6, but I definitely do feel duped.
5-6 weeks is sold out! And in demand.
All models worldwide have this time for delivery now.
I’ve never seen that before on any iPhone model on the Apple store. Some would slip back but never every model worldwide.
Just consider that 6 weeks is mid December.
I don’t think anyone has had to wait that long for a launch day preorder delivery.

My partner order the iphone x 256gb space grey. He had a time frame of Nov.10 - Nov 17. Now yesterday, they had changed it too Nov. 3 and today he was charged on his card and preparing for shipment.

Me too. I tried to place my order at 3:01 EST from Toronto on both my iPhone via the store app and my MacBook Pro. After many successive attempts, i was able to place my order via the iOS app at 3:05am, while safari was still not loading the Apple store site. My shipping time was listed as 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping that my delivery window bumps up from Nov 21st - 28th.
