iPhone upgrades every year in many ways, that's great. It is exciting for me to upgrade every year.

I'd say you paid $1550 for the 13 and you broke even (sort of) on your 12 Pro Max (unless that was given to you as a gift) ;)

Glad you're happy!

The 12 Pro Max was paid for by my company so again, only paid around $300 for the 13 Pro Max.

IMHO..

The s7 watch looks like technology finally caught up with the design Apple was aiming for all along.

Previous iterations now looks kinda like a knockoff in comparison.

(Just too bad we didn’t get a ceramic option this time).

13 Mini is the closest Apple been to a perfect iPhone in many years, I might have to buy two since there won’t be anymore according to the rumours.

I genuinely agree. There wasn’t anything in this years model that screams out to me. Actually first year I’ve managed to hold off.

Looks like I'm not the only iPhone user keeping a keen eye on the new Pixel phones this year. 👀

Next time Apple gets accused of being a monopolist by some braindead politician or scheming competitor, show them these charts, especially this enlightening one:

I think every carrier has an upgrade program that the vast majority are part of. You don’t have to upgrade annually. It’s optional. Lol

Sure, but I'd prefer to get the new model each year for the same monthly fee since I do not keep phones for years on end and at worst would upgrade every second year (when I would have paid off my contract just in time to enter into a new one).

For me I don’t think I’ll upgrade until there’s an always on display and USB C. Touch ID would be good too.
The rest for me is just software. iOS is dull

The very last thing I'd ever want on a phone is an always on display!

Underwhelmed, overwhelmed, middle-whelmed….don’t make a difference to me. I upgrade every year regardless.

I came from an X. I'll be honest its still a bit meh for what I use it for. Its snappier, camera is ok but not game changing for the quick snaps I take. Smaller notch is at least perceived taller and I'd personally have made it wider and less tall or got rid of it completely with a thin bezel at the top, since some apps still struggle to build an interface around it.

I hate the weight and perceived size. I say perceived because its not much bigger than the X, but it feels much thicker. I think its the squared off sides. It literally feels like a brick. Was torn between pro and mini, went pro because I use it more than most devices for browsing when out and about.

I do love the battery life though its mega compared to X.

Ultimately X was getting a bit old and started to play up a bit so I just bought the new model. I didn't really do it just because the 13 was out
I am in the same boat with the X and is torn between the 13 pro and 13 mini as well.
Went to the local Apple Store and played around with the pro, but was not impressed enough to order one.

Therefore thank you very much for share a real user perspective and use experience on the subject. :D

Is anyone else so tired of hearing/reading that?

Then MAKE YOUR OWN!!!

SOME PEOPLE have older tech and the new AW is great news for them. And I was rocking a 10S Max, got an 11 pro max, and am hoping to inherit a 12 max (Maybe get a new 13?). I seem to live for upgrades, even though they aren't 'earth shaking'. But they are for some people. Good grief... 'Smells like teen spirit' was a documentary of our future?

Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us

Is stupidity contagious? I'm sure of it. Yikes...

Apple: ENTERTAIN US!!!

Apple says 'Wait until next year!'

Still no USB-C/TB3 and with it no ability to turn the iPhone Pro into an external recorder for my camera, so aye it is underwhelming. And we don't get have Face ID under the screen yet, so the device hasn't given us something to wow us past the X, 11, and 12.

I wonder why they didn't call it an iPhone 12S. Wasn't the last time they used the 'S' was with the Xs?
They seem to have gone out of their way to make enough cosmetic changes to justify this not being called 12S - I suspect that might even be a key factor in reducing the notch (though arguably its no more than the TouchID home button on the 5S vs the 5). For whatever reason they seem determined to leave the S moniker behind, though it seems S years (of which this is one) will be staying.

Yep - that about sums it up for me too. I was going to finally upgrade my iPhone 6s to an iPhone mini but the camera "bump" (which is now more like a mountain instead of a molehill) has crossed my threshold of just way too stupid big. I'm a little scared Apple will form the conclusion the mini isn't worth their while when in fact it's just that they haven't made it acceptably good enough yet (for me anyway). And with the watch - just not enough focus on battery life. I really don't use any of the health/fitness features so I'm just after the basics but with a *much* better battery life. Really, one miserable day of battery life for a watch is just a joke.
dude! I am completely with you. My 6S was under real threat by the mini but I can't do the camera bump. Also can't justify upgrading my watch either until I can get at least double the battery life for my money.

Just goes to show.

- some people will like it
- some people will hate it

- most people always want more
- most people who get more just complain they didn’t get enough
