My wristwatch also didn't give me notifications or provide directions. I'm ok with the compromise, as I think 99.5% of Apple Watch owners are.
But it always tells the time! No matter what else, it always tells the time. The iWatch struggles to do that due to the kool aid not lasting all week.

iPhones don't have LiFi. If tech blogs are to be believed it's a revolution in wireless communication between devices.
Should Apple just stop creating stuff until it's finalised and the tech is released?
LiFi? I've no idea what that means. Apple should make stuff that works properly as right now the iWatch is limping along.

Depends on usage, I can get two days out of mine. I think your thinking to much for a smart watch, well a decent smart watch anyway. You're saying the AW should last longer or always be on, do you complain when your mobile phone does the same, then compare it to your landline phone which is always on and has been since the dawn on phones?
if your going to criticize something at least call name the modal correctly never heard of an iWatch before....
Why is battery life of 1 week so hard to ask? I don't want to hear nonsense about technology limitations nor that I don't need 1 week between charges as I can charge it nightly. Those are excuses which make the product useless to normal people which most iWatch owners struggle to grasp. Maybe you guys are willing to put up with such brokenness but the tens of millions who looked at the iWatch said No. Apple should get it. Or maybe they do. Fleece the early adopters by resolving the issues in successive generations. I hate being considered a mug and won't buy into that.
The iPhone comparison is a false dichotomy. It always fails when applied to the iWatch. Yes, iWatch as I don't care for marketing mumbo jumbo so call it what it is.
