My wristwatch also didn't give me notifications or provide directions. I'm ok with the compromise, as I think 99.5% of Apple Watch owners are.

But it always tells the time! No matter what else, it always tells the time. The iWatch struggles to do that due to the kool aid not lasting all week.

iPhones don't have LiFi. If tech blogs are to be believed it's a revolution in wireless communication between devices.

Should Apple just stop creating stuff until it's finalised and the tech is released?

LiFi? I've no idea what that means. Apple should make stuff that works properly as right now the iWatch is limping along.

Depends on usage, I can get two days out of mine. I think your thinking to much for a smart watch, well a decent smart watch anyway. You're saying the AW should last longer or always be on, do you complain when your mobile phone does the same, then compare it to your landline phone which is always on and has been since the dawn on phones?

if your going to criticize something at least call name the modal correctly never heard of an iWatch before....

Why is battery life of 1 week so hard to ask? I don't want to hear nonsense about technology limitations nor that I don't need 1 week between charges as I can charge it nightly. Those are excuses which make the product useless to normal people which most iWatch owners struggle to grasp. Maybe you guys are willing to put up with such brokenness but the tens of millions who looked at the iWatch said No. Apple should get it. Or maybe they do. Fleece the early adopters by resolving the issues in successive generations. I hate being considered a mug and won't buy into that.

The iPhone comparison is a false dichotomy. It always fails when applied to the iWatch. Yes, iWatch as I don't care for marketing mumbo jumbo so call it what it is.

Alright everyone else: no more responses to this guy who is obviously you-know-what'ing this thread.

What is the problem with charging it every night or two? You got to bed take watch off place on puck, is that a massive struggle that you can only do it once a week?

I consider you a 'mug' as you keep referring to an iWatch I have no idea what this product is, maybe that is were the issue lies? Don't buy a cheap knock version and buy an Apple watch the problems might disappear.

Either way you commented on everything else for the AW but not my comment on your landline/mobile phone? Just stop harassing this forum please

Guy keeps saying iWatch, so I think he's in the wrong topic and on the wrong website. Apple doesn't sell an iWatch.

Kind of similar to how they don't sell a black Apple Watch Sport.

i would have no idea, as I've ignored him. He's nothing to me now!

Damn. Cold-blooded.

On topic though:

How about a feature that vaporizes anybody who brings up an Apple Watch rumor pertaining to the Apple Watch 2?
Somewhat similar to the whole Voldermort thing.
They could use the now-working time travel feature (Scheduled to be officially released with the new watch) to go forward to the release date and implement it then to get some kind of retroactive vaporization going...

Seriously though, I'm quite happy with this watch. Already had a camera on my Galaxy Gear, which I didn't care at all to use. Already like the design. Apps open fine in my eyes, as there is nobody who can't afford to wait 5 seconds for whatever app to fully load. I've got many apps. The app on the watch will likely open before I can realize which folder the actual app is in on my phone. And then there's the fact that I often leave the phone in another room because I have the watch. Very convenient to see what's going on, at a glance, even if I've received no notifications, and go back to taking it easy.

Battery could maybe last a little longer, but that's no problem for me either, and I use it for sleep tracking as well. Just throw the thing on the charger while I'm getting ready to leave, change bands from my black sport band to one of my nice steel bands, or one of my nice leather bands and we're ready to go take care of business for the day. Don't care about a standalone gps. If I'm going somewhere where I'll need a gps to find my way, I'm not going to be going somewhere like that without my phone. I don't know who would be comfortable doing so. Even if I'm mapping a run in a local park, somebody may be calling me and I won't even know, plus I don't believe in using bluetooth headphones. Siri rarely lags for me and when it does, whatever I'm asking it to do is still usually done quicker than I'd be able to pick up my phone and do it myself (typing very specific reminders and setting the time/date, looking up numbers).

Really, the only thing that would make me want to buy an updated watch is if I find a slightly newer design aesthetically appealing, and if I do, I'd just be rotating between what I have now and that newer one.

All I care about is software improvements, and they're all possible right now. Get more watch faces in here (even a watch face store). The options as far as customizability (colors, faces, where you can put complications) should be limitless. I shouldn't have to be irritated with things like the color watch face because I can't change the orange second hand. More customizability, and I'm a very happy camper.

In less than 24 hours, Apple might have released a new iWatch that solves the following design issues:

1) all day always on display
2) battery life which allows it to run with always on display for a week
3) make it thinner as it's chunky right now

Or they might release a bunch of watch straps.

Let's hope the former as the latter is a joke accessory for a product announcement.

I continue to fail to understand why people think it's possible to have a thinner watch with a longer battery life. By definition a larger battery would make the device larger. I won't even go in to the fact that people think it's possible for a device this small to remain on all the time with this kind of power and only need to be charged once a week. LMFAO

And then once Apple manages to make the damn thing, the same people will complain that it costs too much, LOL.

It's damn near impossible for these threads to be serious discussions.

Maybe you'll have developed a basic grasp of physics in less than 24 hours too?

Our batteries only last a whole day! The screen only lights up when we want to look at it! The HORROR. THE STRUGGLE IS REAL.

Let's just bin our Apple watches in protest at apples lack of innovation.

Build a wall around Cupertino campus and make Apple pay for it.

I would like to see some kind of blood pressure sensor added to it. I have high blood pressure and was told that it may make it to the first gen. watch, but later that it was taken off. If they could somehow integrate that into the next watch, I'd be happy. My mother bought me an applewatch for Christmas and I took it back... Thought I'd wait for the next gen

I am concerned more about a watch looking circular since that's the traditional look. My Moto 360 looks more stylish than my Apple Watch.
What's "stylish" is in the eye of the beholder, as always;

But why be saddled down by tradition?

I am not being saddled down since I am fine with a circular screen for content. I just like the circular design more since it feels more in tune with my watch tastes.

I should've clarified -- "Why should Apple be saddled down by tradition?"

They made a device for everyone iPhone enthusiast (4", 4.7", and 5.5"). Surely they can make a circle and a square.

They've made one in gold silver black and pink, surely they can make a see through one. Nintendo have managed that since the 90s.

And so on
