Properly screwed-down or snap-together construction.

Partly for a better water seal, but also because I wonder how much the glue can be compromised by heat and sunlight. The temps in the southwestern US got over 120°F this week.
I don't think that has happened to anyone before though.

Right, I doubt it too, but many of the instances where the back fell off have been while pulling the watch off the charger. I think the heat from charging weakened the glue.

Applying heat is the first step of disassembling the watch, after all.

Only if the glue was defective to begin with. Otherwise, everyone's back cover would be popping off left and right.

1. Faster processor/performance
2. Same battery life (I'm fine with charging it once a night)
3. Slimmer design if it doesn't affect battery size
4. More health sensors
5. Silver Sport model w/ black Sport band
6. Louder speaker
7. Trade-in program
8. Built-in GPS
9. NO FaceTime camera (Have to agree with another member, a camera would likely take valuable space & really isn't necessary.)

Am I the only one who wants a better speaker for phone calls and have Siri actually talk on the watch?

This will be dead before arrival if it doesn't have GPS.
If Sony can fit it into it's 2 year old Smartwatch 3, surely Apple can. And battery life of the Sony is a few days. Sure the display isn't great, but thats why it's $200.

Price is the second thing. It needs to have a base model at $299.
With those 2 key factors, I think the Watch will finally gain traction and interest beyond the early adopters and gearheads.

1.44-48mm Size ( instead of 38-42 )
2.IP68 waterproof rate
3.New S2 14nm Chip.
4.250mAh or bigger battery instead of 205mAh
5.Third Party Watch faces
6.a bit thinner
7.Smart Bands
8.16GB of storage instead of 8GB ( or even more :D )
9.Stronger sensors that work With tattoos.
10.Stronger Screen glass .

Better battery - one week at least.
A more straightforward user experience, more like iOS, some greater consistency and harmony.
Proactive health alerts based on empirical data that relate to cardiovascular and nervous system, catch issues early like stroke, heart attack, etc.
Camera on side, raise wrist just like reading the watch face and take a photo.
Projection next to camera.

1 week at least ...... yea......1 week at least ...... wait what?!

Yea, other devices go a week..: wait, no one mentions that those devices range from 3 times larger to double the size or double the width/depth. Was so tired reading that the Apple Watch battery life should be as good as the Fenix 3 which looks like I have a car on my wrist.

If Apple switches to low power LED, and makes no other changes, 3-5 days is possible with battery life improvements. Adding in GPS would be 2-3 days but depends on if you run marathons or not. :)

I don't think 4 days battery life is a valid Option....Apple already uses OLED display technology in the AW . if Apple Moves to 14nm 32Bit ( 32Bit Chips Drain less battery ) chip with the Apple S2 , Battery will improve greatly + OS optimizations and Hardware wise bigger battery ( Currently the AW has 205 mAh, i think we will see an increase to 250 mAh .. ) you will get full 24 h battery life in the AW 2 i believe....

6h greater battery is a big improvement in my opinion ... it depends how much you use the watch and how....

Am I the only one who wants a better speaker for phone calls and have Siri actually talk on the watch?

I agree it would be nice to give Siri a voice and have feedback from her. Also, I think the speaker is louder than most expect and surprisingly very clear. Of course in a louder environment, would obviously over-ride the sound in a hurry.

Always on time display like ambient mode on android wear. I often glance at my watch while not making any wrist movement (or only tiny). It is annoying hat I had to develop a habit of tapping my watch face to wake it up

Low brightness, no animation (updated the hands/numbers once a minute)

I want the Apple Watch bands currently out to work with the new watch. Some people have sunk 1k or more and we should be allowed to continue using these!

I'd also like to see smart bands. Like a sport band with a gps chip and small battery to power the chip.

How/why have you done that?

I don't have one yet, waiting for gen 2. Seems like watchOS 3 resolves quite a few issues. So beyond the presumed hardware improvements, sensor improvements, etc. I'd like to see...

- Thinner casing (or same size casing w/ improved battery life).
- Slightly curved casing. This one is a long shot but I really love the look of this Samsung watch and it seems like a curved casing would be more comfortable...
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/wearable-tech/SM-R750AZKAATT
- More functionality within apps. Severely limited with what can be done due to the size of the screen though.
- Officially waterproof. Again, a long shot because I doubt Apple wants to take on the liability.
- Base price needs to stay at $299 / $349.

I don't have an Apple Watch because the first one is pretty ugly. Of course that is personal taste. ;)

I would like to have:
  • Water Resistance
  • More case designs
  • Round Dial Face
  • MUCH higher pixel density to create the same precision as a high end executed watch dial.
  • Possibility to create own dial designs.
  • Layered imaging to create a real depth when looking at the watch face.
  • Limited connection to an iPhone.
  • Charging by wearing it (movement) or winding it.
I guess I'm more a real watch person.

If I had a smart watch I'd never use it for texting or making phone calls. I would be used as a tool watch around time, and health tracking. All the rest IMHO are just daily distractors that would keep me off-focus. IMHO a watch is a tool that can tell time in a fashionable way and if well chosen it gives me a certain peace. An Apple Watch can't do that as it is now, it would only give stress.

:)

My main wish is a faster processor, followed by more storage as apps may get bigger, barometer, GPS, and hopefully no camera. A camera would be a bit weird, and possibly pervy.

At least 20% thinner.

Sleep tracking.

Kinetic energy charging, from walking and arm swinging or any activity the watch should charge up a little bit.

Touch ID sensor built into the home button.

2 day battery life

I'd like to see kinetic charging as much as anyone, but I'm going to be realistic about it and say I don't think it can fit.

You need an oscillating mass with enough mass to contribute enough energy to the system. Seiko manages it for their watches, yes, but the power consumption of a typical quartz watch is a tiny, tiny fraction of what a smartwatch draws.

Here's the mechanism inside a Seiko Kinetic watch. It's not going to fit inside an Watch. Okay, sure, it'll fit if the Watch becomes twice as thick.
