While I'm intrigued by the titanium and have always admired the space black (though graphite is the only coated version available now), I will probably stick with SS which has always served me well and goes with my SS link bracelet purchased in 2015 which is still going strong.

I was all in for a Stainless Space Black to replace my current SS Space Black S4, but this seems like a stop gap for the full redesign. I’ll pick up a Midnight Nike to hold me over until the eventual redesign.

I wonder if there will be a full redesign. I think they just changed the form factor for the next 5 years.

I agree, the amount of tooling and money required to make a new design means the watch will look the same for the next few years. People are kidding themselves if they think the watch will look any different in the next 3 years.

I’m still rocking an aluminum series 2. I was so looking forward to get a stainless steel series 7, and the lack of squared edges wasn’t too big of a let-down, but the same processor and likely the same battery make me think I’ll wait until next year. My two biggest complaints with the series 2 are how incredibly slow it is and how ****** the battery is. Series 7 will obviously be an improvement but I decided to skip series 6 and hold out for series 7. Now that series 7 is the same as series 6, I guess I’ll wait another year. Or if I really can’t wait, maybe I’ll just get an aluminum series 7 to tide me over until I get a stainless steel series 8.

Titanium for me. I'll go Titanium until they stop making it. I skipped the S6, and might have skipped this one too but my mother has my old S3 and wants to upgrade because she wants a water-resistant one. So I'll sacrifice myself (lol), get the S7, and give her my S5.

I'm keeping my iPhone 11 though.
Series 3 is water resistant. They all have been although they didn’t claim it with series 0. With series 2 they announced the ability to track swimming laps and whatnot.

I think you would be surprised how few people actually upgrade every year. Most people upgrade every couple of years. Tons of people still never had an Apple Watch. For all these people the S7 is superb and will sell just fine. And for me personally the larger screen with smaller bezels, brighter always-on display and faster charging are reason enough to upgrade from S6.

A lot of people are glad the Watch didn‘t become as boxy as the iPhone/iPad. Also, according to Apple the shape is not the same, but actually even more rounded.

20% is not slightly and was surely not easy to make happen in (almost) the same size enclosure. How could you not ask for maximizing the viewable screen area in a place that is so naturally limited in size as the wrist?

I see no blue in Midnight aluminum. If anything, it seems to be a darker grey/black than space grey ever was. We‘ll have to wait for real-life pictures to be 100% sure there is no hint of blue there.

Dated chip. Worse battery life. Best to wait and ignore this one.

I don’t think they have space black SS this year. Stainless steel just has silver, graphite, and gold.
That's my understanding too, unless you go with the Hermes which appears to have a space black at least for the Series 6. Graphite is basically the same coating process as space black but the darkness falls in between space black and plain silver. Many say it's better. I have to see one in person.

Think I will trade my S5 for a S7. Like the curved sides and using my current bands. I tend to bang up my watches a little, so stick with stainless rather than risk scratching one of the colors. (but it does look great in black/midnight)

Shouldn't have sold my S6 tbh.

Either gold SS or black Titanium.

The gold SS is the only "new" shade I haven't had yet.

S7 Graphite SS... Last year I returned my S6 Graphite SS for a S6 SBTi in protest of Apple ditching the SBSS (I really got them there lol). However, the SBTi color never grew on me for some reason (looks awkward/brownish against the black silicone solo loop) and looking back, graphite is a really nice color that I gave up on too quick. I was more upset than anything and never gave it a fair shake. I also found the SS case to be more durable than the Ti comparing to my S5 SBSS.

So… who else is excited for this keyboard, eh?!? Seriously, this is something I wanted for a long while and never in a million years thought Apple would do.

I can tell you the graphite SS does scratch and Im very careful with my watch even more so then the gold SS

Eh, they all scratch lol… However, I did feel like my SBSS was more resilient than the SBTi though and both, along with Graphite, have DLC.

Interesting… Gold I believe has PVD which is more prone to scratching than DLC.

I had the SBSS gen 1 and that didnt scratch at all.

The DLC layer on the SB is no where close to the DLC on the graphite.

I'm always torn on the Apple Watch. In the press photos it really does look elegant and stylish and refined. But in the real wild, in the practical sense, it kinda looks clunky. I wish they thinned it out a bit.

Correct me if I’m mistaken, but I believe the longer the DLC process occurs, the darker the color and more durable the coating, which would explain this. The move from SB (a very beloved color) to Graphite was nothing more than a money saving scheme by Apple.

Staying with my series 5. Underwhelmed with series 7 just as I am with iPhone 13. I surprised myself as this will be the very first iPhone/watch combo I will pass on. I always get the iPhone and the watch every other year.
