Headed in to week three of the bodybuilding comeback. Going strong, standing almost at 230lbs with five meals daily. Bigger and stronger is the name of the game!

Check out the new gym. The Keiser pneumatic machines are killer, and provide a totally different workout experience using air resistance—versus— your standard weights.

Oh, if you’re wondering why there’s no one there, it’s because I work out at 1 AM and I have a whole gym to myself.😁

Remindeds me of the old newbie question. Q: What is the best time of day to work out? A: The time you will do it.

Went for a warm run (got to 80ºF yesterday) in Cumberland. Nice to get out of the city center for a change.
Looks like you have really niece running trails, glad you could take advantage of them with the nicer temperatures.

Ran 8 miles yesterday and here is an early morning vaccine line at Mercedes Benz stadium and I wished I was in it. Got home and GA had just opened up preregistration to my age group and I preregistered. So looks like I will be in it in a few weeks or less.

And then did a little back alley running. Oddly for a large city Atlanta doesn't have that many alleys. I lived in Savannah (a tiny fraction of the size) and it probably has more back alleys that Atlanta.

Week 4 already in progress.

The owner just got this ‘hill escalator’ in, I haven’t tried it. But it’s rather unique, basically you set the restriction of what you want for the climb and then it’s a fairly good leg work out from how it looks. Probably a good way to spike the heart rate pretty quick.

Jacobs ladder is truly hard work! A fantastic machine.

Bottom of one of the steep hills on the Terrace Trail at the Battelle Darby Creek Park in Columbus Ohio. I love this 2 mile trail - lots of hills and inclines make for a great exercise. First time out here since late 2019.

Excellent machine made by Arsenal. It’s a chest fly machine, where you load the plates on the back, but it’s a far safer method using this -versus- dumbbell extension flies on a standard bench. Essentially it keeps you from overextending, because the handles on a vary on an angle where they only allow you to extend so far. This is the last exercise I use at the end of my chest workouts, and I don’t even load plates, I just push the chest to exhaustion.

Beautiful (55ºF/cloudless) morning and got in a short 6 miler.

iPhone ad (didn't notice until I got home) and Flatiron building in center. Built in 1887 and 5 years older than the Flatiron building in NY. It is the oldest "skyscraper" in Atlanta.

Since I last went out to the Battelle Darby Creek Park to run, they have created / paved the last part of the Camp Chase Trail. You used to have to go through the parking lot and access road, but now you can stay on the trail. The next time we get rain during the week I will try this out (my preferred hilly trail gets a lot of deep puddles after a good rain).

I got my second Moderna Covid vaccine shot this morning and was able to get in a 10 mile run on my favorite hilly trail this afternoon.

Looking up at the hill I run up when I am going clockwise around the the loop:

Off to the side is a little creek. During the warmer months it is dry, but we have had rain and snow recently and there is actually water and so I took a picture:

From yesterday, was cold and windy but was still able to close my April challenge.
