The person I talked to in support offered either a repair via shipping or a replacement watch in the mail. Could be an AppleCare+ thing because I didn't have this option with my first Apple Watch, which I didn't get AppleCare+ for.

So if a beta bricks my Watch, would they replace it since I have AppleCare+ ?

Yeah. Mine wasn't even bricked, though. I just told the person in the chat that I wanted to send my watch in for a downgrade, and they were like "why don't we just send you a new one to save some time"

The turnaround time is ridiculous. I chatted with them yesterday (Friday) at like 6pm. At 1pm today (Saturday) it shipped, with a scheduled delivery date of Monday. Truly impressive. Definitely going to be continuing to purchase AppleCare+ from now on.

How long did it take most of you to apply the beta? I went from the latest public watchOS 3 to watchOS beta 2...and the update process took nearly 2.5 hours from starting the download to being back up and running.

Is the battery drain issue widespread on beta 2?
Considering installing but I'm not sure if it is worth it, especially since you can't downgrade.

It seems to have gotten a bit less worse over time, but I wouldn't advice on installing beta 2 right now. Personally I found beta 1 to be more stable.

I highly recommend that you do NOT install it. Even after repairing I just went from 100% to 0% in about 4 hours with very light use on a series 0 watch

I’m really hoping beta 3 is out this week. My battery went dead yesterday even after I charged it after my run. (Went from 85% to 50% on a 1/2 hour run)

I re-paired my watch two days ago and turned off the gym equipment detection feature.

Today, I picked up my watch from the charger at 8 AM, and the watch is (at 6:30) at 61%, which is watchOS 3 levels for me.

Guess your lucky. ( I turned off gym equipment, reset resync, unpaired / repaired and same battery drain)
