done a hard restart once. what's funny is now the ticks are all complete but still sitting at the logo. I can see its connected to my phone via bluebooth and it shows charging...

Well now this is more like it!

And since this is called "All the little things" and not "I can't install watchOS update", here's all the "little things" from my trusty Series 0 Watch:

- Performance is dramatically better, almost to watchOS 3 level now, basically went from 3 FPS to about 50, so much better.
- Complications now seem to be up after the watch has restarted. In beta 1, and 2, this was not the case and they loaded up fresh.
- I don't remember this being the case in beta 1 and 2, but running apps get automatically added to the Dock, and you can swipe left to remove them, similar to closing apps on the app switcher on iPhone/iPad. OR you can switch to their previous "Favorite" apps behavior by choosing that option in the Dock setting in the Apple Watch app (iPhone).
- Tweaked animation when going to various Setting pages.
- New Setting under "Wake Screen" to "Auto Launch Audio Apps". By default, it's off.
- Fixed blank display of Stand rings
- New animation when switching between apps by double clicking the crown.
- Scribble performance is back to watchOS 3 levels.
- Performance when replying to messages is fast again.
- Heartrate complication now displays the last recorded heart rate for watch faces supporting the longer complication form.

In short, my Watch is back to useable state, I'm happy. :D

If people are curious about the watchOS4 beta, but have been hesitant, I'd say this is a pretty safe beta to jump on. Still yet to see if battery life improves in this build, but things are looking up!

As always, please avoid posting about bugs in future postings. If people find any new things, feel free to post them and I'll update the first post. Thanks!

Also, my iPhone seems to be working much better because of improvements on the Watch – iPhone is much less hot

Mine got stuck there too. Then it completed the circle and got stuck there for like 45 minutes. I eventually did a hard restart and it booted fine.

Did you wait for the circle to finish or did you reboot before it finished?

Mine’s been stuck at 90% for over 40 minutes.

I’m struggling with this too. I having a hard time switching to playlists on my iPhone, and Siri gets confused and can’t find the music I want to play. I have 180gb of music on my phone and I have to go to my phone to play it. occasionally, l an able to toggle between watch and phone by tapping the top left corner of the watch screen. There has to be a simple trick that im missing,

Same problem
same problem of beta 1 :
Music app doesn’t connect to iPhone library !!!!!!!

Same problem with beta 3

I’m going to make a pretty bold statement and say that I think this beta is actually even better than watchOS 3 performance wise. It may be too early to tell, but I think they worked hard this beta. The only thing to test now is battery life. Will test and see tomorrow!

One more new thing is the breathe app pulses more now during inhale and no pulse during exhale.

Previously was one pulse each during inhale and exhale.

Ok Beta 3 is much better. Smoother. The Grid view was so slow and laggy before, now it's the same as WatchOS3.

Also, did a bike workout and that was fine (50mins).

Impressed so far!

I thought the same thing. On my S0, seems much smoother!

I waited till it was 100%, then waited another hour and ended up manually resetting.

Much to my dismay, it booted back to the circle at 100%

Left it for another 30min and it finally rebooted itself. All’s good now, phew!

Battery life very good so far today. Been wearing since 6.30am and it’s now 11.45 and I’m at 90%. Haven’t used too much apart from replying to messages.
Is Bedside Mode new? Seems like an addition - the screen gently brightens in the lead up to your alarm going off. Not sure it was in the other betas. Can’t recall.

Face it: this thread has become “Apple Watch: All the Things”. I hardly look at other threads any more.

Anyone have this constantly come up? I have re-installed the beta profile, rebooted both devices

Bedside mode (the clock appearing in green letters brightening in the run up to your alarm) has been there since at least WatchOS 2.0. Is what you're seeing something different than that?

Battery seems fine with me, 100% at 11am, 100% at 4pm. Animation when all 3 circles are completed is implemented in this beta.

100% at 7am and now 10am at 93% with 1 hour of HIIT workout. @ 1:45pm battery at 83%...

Much better battery life for me.

True battery test tomorrow with my outdoor run for the national park day! :)

Open the camera app on your watch, then try searching for the update. That’s what worked for me. I don’t know why the update process has been so finicky in watchOS 4/iOS 11.

I think u mean Nightstand Mode. Yes, that’s been there ages, but this I’m not sure about. Photo included. Maybe it’s renamed? Just checked Apple website and they currently call the 3.2.2 feature Nightstand Mode. No mention of the screen getting brighter as the alarm approaches. Must be new to 4.0.
Also, the new animations have arrived for completing rings...the firework style ones. :)

EDIT: Just checked my partners watch running 3.2.2 and it is called Nightstand Mode but has the same description as my 4.0 Bedside Mode. So I guess just a name change. I never use it so wasn’t familiar with it.

On the Now Playing screen, there’s a ring to show the volume level. Most times the ring is red but sometimes I see it flip to green momentarily. Any idea what the red and green indicate?
