So...I have been waiting to take the plunge on my Series 0. The consensus here seems to be that its probably ok to do so with this beta. Any dissenters to that idea?

Took the watch off the charter at 7am and it’s now 2pm, received around 20-30 messages and random alerts. No workout yet but plenty of walking (~6000 steps) and some music controls, Siri face, currently at 90%.

Battery life very good so far today. Been wearing since 6.30am and it’s now 11.45 and I’m at 90%. Haven’t used too much apart from replying to messages.
Is Bedside Mode new? Seems like an addition - the screen gently brightens in the lead up to your alarm going off. Not sure it was in the other betas. Can’t recall.

I'm also seeing much better battery life with Beta 3. Even my iPhone battery life appears to be better. General operation on the watch is also a lot smoother.

Same, I noticed my phone is running better and less hot. Was thinking it was placebo, but maybe it's not?

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the now playing controls not take over my watch all the time. I would much love to be able to disable that feature. Also does anyone know if they disabled Apple Pay with this beta as mine gives me the whole card unavailable like in the watchos 3 beta when they disabled it.

Turning that off seems to have worked thanks. The Apple Pay issue was a fluke I removed the cards and re-added then and all is good now as well.

Did you wait for the circle to finish or did you reboot before it finished?

Mine’s been stuck at 90% for over 40 minutes.

Beta 3 is the first beta I noticed the new animations when closing an Activity ring...were they present previously?

Nope. Just got them as well. They were not present in beta 1 and 2.

It was nice to see. Got a real sense of accomplishment seeing that :D

I hope they implemented that for the challenges too. I will see if they have tomorrow as there's a challenge tomorrow for a 3.5 mile run.

Just disable Gym Equipment search under Workout settings

Have done this, and various other things like re-pairing, setting up as new, disabling app background refresh.

I have no third party apps installed and have a basic watch face,

Anything else you guys are trying, just using watch on airplane mode was hoping beta 3 would fix the issue.

I used the lowest brightness (still visible even in bright sunlight), text size, alert volume, mid haptic strength, disable handoff, disable gym equipment and disable background refresh.

That's so strange. Delete all 3rd party apps? I turned background app refresh back on and have had stellar battery this past day.

Really strange,

was hoping to actually use my watch for notifications again,

Dont have any 3rd party apps as did a fresh install ?

In iPhone settings - Privacy, Location services. Turn off Watch Faces using location. (never) this fixes the battery life.
