Edit: Disregard my question below. I ended up editing my ID adding a bogus note. You may want to check your ID as well. I’m not positive if this is a bug affecting others or not.

Just noticed that my medical id on the watch is blank. It’s set up on my phone. The watch app shows my emergency contact though. Anyone know how to make it sync?

Sure, firstly I went into the watch app>General>Emergency SOS and made sure “Hold to Auto Call” was off. I then held down the side button on my watch until the power off, medical id, emergency SOS displayed. I swiped right on medical id and it said something to the effect of “No medical id data”. I then went to the health app thinking that my medical id was wiped out but it was there. I tried rebooting my phone, then watch and again in reverse order (watch then phone). Still my medical id on the watch had no data. Went back to the health app, clicked edit medical id and didn’t change anything but clicked done. Still nothing on my watch. Then tried toggling “Show when locked”. Again nothing. Finally I went back into my medical id on the phone and under “medical notes” just added the word test and saved it. Immediately my info appeared on the watch. Went back, removed the note and saved again. Now all shows correctly.

Guys i just installed the WatchOS 4 GM, works smooth so far on my SS Series 2, i use the Utility watch face and if i recall properly from last week's keynote, the official apple Heartrate Complication is supposed to display the last measured heart rate reading right on the watchface in WatchOS4 but it doesnt seem to be working, all i see is the heart icon in the watch face just as it was in WatchOS3..

Works fine for me. Same watch, same GM. You need the large complication to see what you want.

oh i see, thanks for the tip. yes it does work in the large bottom complication in the utility watch face now that i tried it, i liked that large bottom complication to show me sunrise sunset but i guess ill move sunrise/sunset to the top right now, Activity to top left and the heart rate to the bottom main large complication

This GM seems solid so far, What’s that” daily coaching” feature all about? I personally had always set the daily goal(goal completions) And stand reminders to OFF as I don’t want the watch to tell me when I reach these repetitive 3 goals everyday time after time, found it rather distracting , is “Daily coaching” more of the same?

I only like to be notified for “Special challenges” for the activity App for events such as “Mother’s Day Challenge” or the “earth day challenge

Has watchOS4 GM been sucking battery life for you all?

I have't used it for a whole day as i just updated last night, ill know more today by the end of the day.

Are you using the Siri watchface? i just took a glimpse at that watchface and didnt like it but with the amount of data it shows its seems like that watchface might be a battery hog.

Thanks, it’s a bit annoying they didn’t include it. In fact overall this doesn’t seem like much of an update form ios3 to 4.

I agree this doesnt feel like as big of an update as Apple made it seem to be with any groundbreaking new features but i guess its a good overall update to improve things, I appreciate the additional HR features but thats about it

OMG! I just decided to update one of my watches to WatchOS4. I can NEVER remember the updating processing taking so long.

Ps. I believe the GM seed has been updated to full Release! (All beta markings have been taken off the Software Update) I would have posted the Build # BUT it seems that I will die of old age before the downloading to watch finishes!

The update process does take very long
I updated last night and it didn’t say “GM Seed” either it just said “WatchOS 4.0” as if I was installing the final version, my current build number is 15R372, is that the same as the GM?

Series 0 - no.

I just did a brisk outdoor walk workout to see if that would trigger anything. Nada. Makes no sense, esp as other apps are able to use this metric.

Just installed the GM and wow! Non-Apple Music listeners really do get shafted with watchOS 4 don’t they?

Only time I listen to music is my own music during workouts, so it doesn’t really bother me much, Now Playing is enough. Plus, Now Playing to the right of workout is a big improvement. Otherwise it’s a big step back for lots of people I imagine.

I actually like the automatic Now Playing option, but I’ve had to delete the Overcast watch app as it defaults to that when listening to podcasts doesn’t it? I’d much prefer to use the Overcast app really, but lack of volume control is a deal breaker unfortunately. 95% of my listening is podcasts and controlling them, along with fitness tracking, is the main usage I have for the watch.

The app list view would be good.... if I could remove all the junk apps from the list I never ever use. Tsk.

Well, iOS 11 just launched, but watchOS 4 is nowhere to be found... do they usually launch watchOS a little bit after iOS? I thought they all dropped at the same time with the exception of macOS.

To add, my iPhone has been running iOS 11 GM.

I thought they would be same time too but not showing there is an update yet for me
