Anyone notice under achievements, it doesn’t update. I had to reboot the watch yesterday and today to update both days.

Under workouts and history the proper numbers are displayed without rebooting Watch.

Same here. I should have earned a perfect week badge for my activity last week, but alas it is now Wednesday evening and nada. This was present in 4.1 as well for me.

Furthermore, and now that I am running 4.2 most of the stock Apple apps are not showing up properly on the home screen. I recognize this is covered in the release notes, but Apple’s workaround (uninstall and reinstall the app) isn’t appropriate for the stock apps! Hope this is fixed in the next beta.

So when I went into the Activity app today I had a new achievement badge for the month of September. Don't give up hope everybody! You'll probably get your October achievements sometime next month!

On watchOS 4.2 beta 1, the music name of a song playing from my phone or iCloud does not show up in now playing on my series 1. Correction, it may show for a split second then disappear. I can use the watch controls in now playing to go to the next or previous song but if I press pause, all control permently reverts to songs on the watch only.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Unpairing, and getting an error, repairing and setting up as new fixed this.
I do sometimes get a flash of the names of one or more other songs before the correct name shows.
I have basic music control over both the watch and iPhone playing different music at the same time.

Music now gives you the option to connect a device. Before 4.2 beta 1 you had to go to Settings yourself to do so.

Connect a Device takes you to Settings where it goes into discovery mode.

I tried using the radio app on cellular while I was out today and it told me that I needed to connect to WiFi or cellular. Everything else worked, mail, weather, messages, etc.

Because it’s not FM/AM Radio, that’s why. The watch doesn’t have an antenna for those bands (unlike the iPod Nano).

I’m talking about the radio app not FM radio. It worked with 4.1 over cellular but it’s no longer working with 4.2 beta.View attachment 731858

Edit: found another thread with others having the same issue.

Anyone notice the some of the icons aren’t displayed properly and have weird names? Example nanomusic, nanoweather, nanomaps to name a few.

I’m running iOS 11.2 beta 2 on the iPhone X.

The icons in the Watch app on the iPhone are displayed properly.

Seems to happen when I install the beta profile. :(

Reported it to Apple today.

I got this too. Also reported.

Will the new OS allow me to control my iPhone music like it used to? Will it stop demanding that I pair to Bluetooth headphones?

To make watch easier to read:

- Set text size larger

- Turn on Bold text

- Turn on Reduce Transparency. This makes a solid background for text vs transparency

- Turn on Reduce Motion. Makes all the home screen icons larger vs small and large sizes

- Turn on Zoom

Not yet. Still demands a BT or connected device.
[doublepost=1510151206][/doublepost]Reported this in beta 1 Feedback app but forgot to report here. Icon text in messages is cut off on the top and bottom in Messages app.

Is there a beta 2 for the Series 3 42mm? I keep checking but it says up to date. I'm still on beta 1. Any way to force it to find it? I've unpaired and reset and then repaired, same thing.

Beta 2 added the Apple pay button for messages app on the Apple Watch.

What’s weird is that this button also shows up when someone replies to you if you get an activity achievement, which seems wrong to me. Am I supposed to send them money when they reply to my activity notification that I closed all my rings?????

I don't see much mention of how Apple has ruined the watch by taking away the ability to view the music library on the iPhone. This was a feature I would use almost daily. Seems to me the only reason for this is to sell more Apple Music subscriptions. They have given a giant finger to the people that have their own music collections. Funny since the iPod started by having people rip music from their CD collections. I for one no longer trust Apple. Had enough of them deciding what's best for me. Now they add fluff while removing substance.
