I just picked up an Apple Watch three days ago, and loaded watchOS 2. My battery drain is insane. I'm losing on average 1% every 3-4 minutes. I've removed all 3rd party apps, turned off wrist raise, only have a few notifications on, still bad. Any suggestions?!?

Mine was like that too running watchOS 2. I turned off the diagnostics on the iPhone and my battery is like 1.0.1 or slightly better.

So you just mean in the iPhone settings- privacy - diagnostics - don't send. Correct?

I've done that but it didn't help. I'm resetting the watch to see if that helps

Same. Yesterday I had to end my run a couple of times before it registered.

My workout app has been fairly buggy for me using the latest watchOS beta. Ending a workout takes multiple taps. There's a big delay between opening the app and being able to tap a workout. Sometimes the heart rate monitoring fails to track my heart rate leaving me with an incorrect average below 90. And twice now I've ended a workout without being presented the save option. The Activity app shows the calories I burned, but has no record of the actual workout. I hope these are fixed for release. I realize it's a risk I took using beta software, but if these ship they're showstoppers.

There is a delay in a lot of OS2 to be honest. Hopefully that is fixed soon.

Updated to Beta 5 last night and went to sleep with it charged 100%. Woke up and it was 47% (about 6 hours). I did a factory reset and set up as a new device like someone suggested here and now it's been pretty good. Been using it like I normally do the past 3 hours and it's still at 98% left.

Can we turn off the damn "please stand up" and progress report notifications with OS2? The stand up notification is beyond annoying for those that don't want it/need it. The progress updates are also unless when I can see on the watch face every time in a second what my progress is

You can do that now. Just go to the Watch App on your iPhone, then in to Activity. Then click Stand Reminders to Off and under Progress Update just select None.

thanks so much, hated those notifications thinking it was something important when my watch vibrated

It's pretty easy to filter those out, and it's always two taps, and you always get it 10 minutes before the hour is up.

they're easy to filter out, yes, but receiving unwanted notifications in the first place was the problem. My day has already been smoother because of it :)

I also have an issue with the stand up meter, I'll be standing for 40 minutes but be sitting down at the 50min mark and I don't get the stand up count, laughable

might be a dumb question, but with the new Os, can developers create their own watch face and make them available for download?

Unfortunately, Developers cannot create new watch faces yet. I think we will likely see Apple partnering with existing watch makers and have them create a watch face, like they did for Hermes.

But isn't that only if you buy the band?

I would LOVE it if they made that face available for all models. I'd even pay for it, looks pretty cool.

ETA: By "pay" I mean not pay $1,200.

The GM version has a bunch of new colors that match all the new watch bands. By new colors, I mean within the watch faces.

Overall the speed improvement is very noticeable. As much as I hate the use of the word, it does feel "snappy"

They fixed the duplicate email notification for exchange accounts on the latest GM.

Also of note, the Mail notification icon is now a square instead of the circle it has been.

I wish they would find a way to clear the notifications and alerts within the phone apps if I dismiss or archive email on my watch.

I hate having to constantly clear FB notifications or other badge app icons after I've already acknowledged and dismissed them from my watch.

Must be my OCD.

I hope this applies to me, I'm so tired of getting double notices all day. Whew!

I want to know, if today I install iOS 9 GM, my watchOS 1.0.1 will be update automatically to watchOS 2.0 GM or I need something?

The watch and phone update independently. You will need iOS 9 to support watch OS2 but watch 1.0.1 will work with iOS 9.

Well... I want update to iOS 9 GM and want update to watch OS2, so, when I update to iOS 9 GM, my Apple Watch will update too?

With iOS 9 I need El Capitan or it is OK Yosemite for now?
