Well... I want update to iOS 9 GM and want update to watch OS2, so, when I update to iOS 9 GM, my Apple Watch will update too?

With iOS 9 I need El Capitan or it is OK Yosemite for now?

The Apple Watch will only update if you tell it to upgrade. It'll pop up a notification but it's your choice whether you want to install watchOS 2 or not.

Updating the iPhone to iOS 9 will not automatically upgrade the watch as well. BUT, you do need iOS 9 before you see or install the watchOS 2 update.

Also, it doesn't matter whether or not you update to 10.11. iOS 9 will work just fine with 10.10

All clear!

When I update the Apple Watch, it is restored as factory or only updated? Because I'd like to restore to the factory as when doing the Restore on iPhone, but without bringing an old backup.

It's updated normally. But you can always remove the pairing, and restore it fresh without a backup after the fact.

Would love to see those colors....Can't wait to install this update... and a bunch of native apps :p Only 6 days left!

In witch order?

1) unpair Apple Watch
2) iPhone update to iOS 9
3) Restore from Apple Watch Interface
4) pair Apple Watch to iPhone with iOS 9
?

1. Update iPhone
2. Update Apple Watch
3. Unpair Apple Watch
4. Set up Apple Watch as new.

Also, this is completely the wrong thread for these questions. This is only for hidden and interesting things and features introduced in watchOS. Please make a new thread about this if you're still unclear.

Thanks and sorry for all...

No. When you update your phone the watch will remain on the same software. To update the watch (as of today) you need to load a profile on the watch then over the air, check for an update and install it. The official release will be out next week to the public which will have a slightly different process.

After updating to the latest beta my battery is terrible. It is worse than any other beta, Ex. I Get it off the charger around 9 am by 2 is already at 10% with barely any use WUT!?? anyone know how to fix it?

Setup as new, and try it again. It should be better afterwards, I'm getting all day run time plus some.

They seemed to have reduced the vibration sensitivity in Nightstand mode in the GM build. In previous betas I only had to lightly tap the table the watch was on to get it to display. Now I seem to have to hit it harder to get it to display.

Didn't even know you could do that, however testing I'd have to wake the entire house, giving how much I need to "thump" the table :)

My two new favorite watch faces for Apple Watch. :)

Just updated to watchOS2 GM.

What's this about? The AirPlay icon?

Anyone else have this issue. When running OS 1 and OS 2 Beta 1-5 my watch battery life was great could get two full days of moderate usage.. Since installing the GM version I get maybe 5 hours of No Usage and 3-4 1/2 hours of Moderate usage.

So for something that's GM supposed to be released in less then a week this is horrible.

What does your usage look like on the Watch app on the iPhone? I bet that has a lot of usage even though you say you haven't used it. Check that out first.

Not seeing this at all.

In fact, yesterday, I put it on at 8 AM and it was still at 45% at midnight even after moderate use, and 1 hour on workout mode. Definitely try re-pairing / restore from new.

I would like to see one person post their usage when they say the battery is draining really fast. Not that they are using it a lot, but there is a reason that the battery is draining really fast and not the o/s (beta or not) being the cause. The few times I had faster than normal battery drain, my usage was sky high and I didn't even use the watch. I have never re-paired and don't want to get to that extreme. I would delete from blue-tooth and re-add or remove 3rd party apps first. Something is causing the watch and iphone to talk back and forth way too much. I have yet to see one person with high battery drain report that usage was nothing. And of course, always cold boot.

My usage was super sky high like 100% usage. Battery drained in a matter of hours. I repaired and restored from backup and now it's back to normal with all day plus battery life. Pretty easy fix.

On Beta 5 I had phenomenal battery life. On GM I noticed that battery life was abysmal and that non-native apps were not loading. So I had to impair. I restored from the backup and everything seems fine. The battery life seems not quite as good as 1.0.1 but I haven't tested it long enough to see what real world usage will bring.
