Has anyone been having issues on their OG Apple Watch since putting 3.0 on it? It sluggish at times, and my biggest annoyance is when trying to delete from the notifications pull down, they will start to flicker. Didn't have these issues before the update... I have a 42MM SS Space Black

Installed 3.1 beta 1 on one of my first generation Apple Watches (I'm not upgrading this year) - seems even smoother than the 3.0 release. Less lag for sure and the digital crown seems to activate quicker when you enter an app that allows scrolling. Definite improvement!

The real test...which you probably won't be able to test until tomorrow...will be if it improves the battery life (or at least doesn't keep undoing the Background App Refresh deselections!)

I really wish they would've fixed the increase dimming scroll function for left-handed people. :-(

I seem to be getting some random haptic vibrations with 3.1b1. A bit like a faint drumming on my wrist now and again. A reboot has solved it for the time being.

Personally haven't noticed any change in the battery life. Yesterday, took the watch off the charge around 9 AM, when I got back home at 7PM, it was 50%. Workout mode for 30 minutes.
Any other noticeable improvements?

As Defender2010 said above, I've been noticing slight performance improvements like less animation frame drops when opening an app or zooming into the clock face from the honeycomb screen.

I haven't noticed any new features, but maybe they're adding new features for series 2. Can anyone with series 2 check if they added any new things in 3.1 beta?

I am new Watch user and I have a question regarding sending heartbeat. Is this still possible with WatchOs 3? I cannot find friend section and also do not find this option in message app.

Anyone with 3.1 beta unable to add a card to Apple Pay? Trying to add both my cards but it gives an error. "Could not set up Apple Pay."

Something may changed using Siri dictation to reply messages or mails.
I updated to os3 my apple watch and on my iPhone I use 2 keyboards, Italian and English.
At the time of os2 if I've got a message to reply with dictation I can easily use the proper language according to the first words in the message text.
Now with os3 Siri selects the language according to last keyboard used on my iPhone.
Anybody noticed that?
Anyway to get back to previous behavior?

I found by myself a solution.
Once in the message force touch to get the option to change language

Totally new to this fitness watch stuff. I'm an avid runner so I figured I'd give the AW2 a try. Main reason was the GPS.

So, question from a person who is terrible with anything tech related: I use Map My Run from my phone when running. I downloaded that app to my watch. Will I need to bring my phone with me to use this app? Or as long as Bluetooth is on, I am all set?

Guess I need to become multilingual.

friends who are multilingual will be enough.

one thing that may have changed and which may be affecting @MarcoLive is that it seems to detect the language of the last message received and 'helpfully' use that for default replies (and i assume siri also)

I don't have an AW2 so my answer is theoretical.

You shouldn't have to bring your phone with you (nor leave BT on while you run). The whole idea of having the GPS on the watch is that you don't need to carry a phone. When you return home, then turn on BT (if you turned it off) to sync up the gps log. I'm not sure if MapMyRun is one of the third party apps that will draw it out on the map, but probably so if they updated to iOS10.

The WatchOS 3 Workout app will do this natively, even on non-GPS devices. So we know it can. The question, as you put it, is whether MapMyRun is set up to use that capability (assuming Apple allows 3rd party apps to do this).

The use of the GPS on the AWS2 isn't allowed for developers on watchOS 3 being it a feature reserved for Apple's own workouts app as far as I know.

How about the non-GPS wayfinding capability (which I believe used a form of wifi telemetry)?
