No beta is evee different always the same one new feature ill never use why cant they do something simple like delete all mesaages

That doesnt delete all messages in one go, i have to go one by one to delete mesaages
Why do you need to "delete" them all? Are you afraid someone will see them? Are you concerned that they take up memory space?

Which messages are you talking about, too? iMessages (texts, etc), or Mail messages, or app notifications...?

Actually the icons in the control panel are rearranged. The drop icon of locking the Watch is now on the third row instead of the last one, and the theater mode moved to the last.

Also the Scribble function of replying is now available in more languages.

This is Control Center under3.1.3 for reference:

I have a feeling that the answer to my question is "it's always done that", but I'm gonna ask it anyway :)

I have my watch set to only display the screen when I tap the screen. When I do so and then turn my wrist, the screen goes dark. Is that how the watch has always functioned and I just never noticed?

Definitely not.

This is new, but I don't know when that changed exactly. In watchOS 2 at least, I used to use that setting too and I would like the fact that the watch wouldn't turn off if I flick the watch away from me. It'll just turn off the display when it times out after 30 or so seconds.

But this has changed so the watch will wake up only on a tap or a button press but the display will turn off when you flick the watch away from yourself. Disappointing.

I recently noticed this too and I like it. I don't want my watch to turn on when I raise my wrist and I have noticed better battery life with the raise my wrist off. I was also putting my hand over the watch to get it to dim again, I don't need it to stay on for 30 seconds. I can get a couple days without charging with this setup.

Yeah, I don't mind this change. I just never noticed it before the 3.2 beta, so I was making sure I wasn't imagining things :)

Why does it matter if he wants to delete all messages? He is referring to iMessages. I want this option as well. I get stuck in dozens of group messages with videos and photos and it actually does take up a decent amount of space on the watch. I went a month without deleting messages. Had over 75 threads and according to settings, Messages was using over 1GB of space. A single delete all would be very appropriate.

Is it keeping them stored all on the watch itself?

Does turning on the iPhone's setting to automatically delete old Messages help at all? (iPhone Settings -> Messages -> Message History) (yeah, the shortest span is 30 days, but at least it's automatic...)

Yes, it is storing them on the watch. I do not believe auto-delete works on the watch. I have auto-delete on my phone set for 30 days, but I have not seen them delete from my watch.

i like this new feature too, i have "raise to wake" set to off as its virtually constantly on, and i dont need the screen on for 15 seconds just to check the time or notifications, very "handy" indeed.

Take it easy Sherlock and stick to the point. The poster's reason for deleting their messages is none of your business, got it?

A common followup question is, "What do you want to do?" This helps make sure that the person asking the question isn't already doing things the wrong way, or is encountering a known issue, etc.

But, yes, my response was more incredulous -- "Why bother?" would have been more to the point. It's not like a watch will run out of space because of stored Messages, is it? So why get worked up about it so much that he'd come here huffing and puffing about a non-issue?
